On a side note has anyone done a clutch in a driveway? Im I really looking at a 7 hour job like mitchell on demand says? I have access to a hoist so that should help.
Balt was my first clutch job. Took me like 15 hours being completely novice at the thing with 2 other people following GM's manual.

Well thats not reassuring lol. This would be me and my g/f's dad, ASE master cert mechanic working on cars his whole life, on a hoist with all the proper tools lol. I guess we'll have to see. Anyone have input on a lightweight flywheel? Or is new stock/resurfaced the way to go?

My dad has a garage full of all the tools, toys, everything i could ever want, including a car lift we're too lazy to install. still took forever and a half.

i think most people recommend just resurfacing it but i would get a stage II clutch and resurface the flywheel, or if you got the big monies get the stage II clutch and a lightweight flywheel

You should be within spec of what's the estimated time then, assuming you have a hoist, etc.
Basically had to make shift **** like that, etc.

I have ACT's lightweight. It makes a lot of noise. Stick with OEM stuff. IE GMPP Clutch and resurfaced flywheel.

Bell housing bolts suck ass. I would look into the GMPP kit, if you haven't already. Dunno what comes with the KY kit.

Unfortunately for us turbo guys, they didnt make an upgraded clutch for the LNF. I think they just used the upped LSJ one in it. Either way my stock one cant handle the torque im putting down, and my tune is already conservative :/ the KY is a 6 puck ceramic disk/ double sprung, 2400lb pressure plate and 475 ft.lb capacity, I guess quite a few ppl use it because of its lower price and the quality of it.

Had no idea of your mods and didn't even pay attention to LSJ/LNF.

Yeah, go for KY then.

It's actually not too bad from what I can tell, only bummer is there's no carpeted liner moulding on the lid, but if it keeps my car from rattling and making me look like a chump it sounds good to me hahaha.

So I put together a buildplan for zee tupperware.

I did some thinking, researching, pricing, shopping, and math, and found that I probably won't be spending nearly $6000 when all is said and done. I'll update the first post with this as well.

Performance: $1806.97
-Exhaust Components
--ZZP 3" Downpipe w/cat, gaskets, and O2/wideband bungs: $243
--ZZP 3" Catback Exhaust: $399.99
--Badmab Shorty Header: $189.00
--- This combo sounds like this.
-ZZP Stage 3 kit: $524.99
--2.7" to 2.8" pulley, depending on the amount of cooling I'll need
--GM stage 2 belt
--50# Injectors (I may pay the $100 extra for 80# E85 injectors)
--NGK 4644 spark plugs
--ZZP stage 3 heat exchanger
--Dual-pass Endplate and Phenolic spacer
--send PCM in for canned-tune
-ZZP Cold Air Intake: $199.99
-Professional tune: ~$250

Wheels, Handling, and Suspension: $2550
-Pedders Coilovers: ~$1200
-LNF Steering Knuckles: ~$500
-LNF/FE5 Control Arms: $250
-Enkei PF01 18"x9.5", EnkeiPS EKM3, EnkeiPS Lusso, or ASA AR1s. $600-$700 (see OP for links with pictures of these rims)

Random Things That Aren't Essential (But Nice to Have): $2050
-Dual projector and angel eye HID kit: $200
-Non-spoiler'd trunk lid: $200
-RKsport 3-piece M3-esque spoiler:$400
-Powell Triple X sway bars: $500
-Brembo alipers: $750

Total Cost of Wanted Mods and Upgrades BRAND NEW: $4356.97 for "essential" upgrades, $6406.97 if I got EVERYTHING on this list, which probably won't happen.
-Buying used parts, I will be able to save around 50% of the total cost of everything, so I've been buying things here and there when they're around 50% of what the new in-the-box part is. This means ideally I would spend about $2178.48 for the "essentials" and $3203.48 for everything. It will be impossible to buy EVERYTHING used, but I will be bargain shopping and trying to save as much as I can so I reckon that I can assume I will average about a 35%-40% savings overall on parts.

That's if I buy everything new, I just bought a few parts here and there for over 75% off barely used, and there's more parts that are at least 50% cheaper than new on the forums that I just cant afford to buy right now. I reckon between buying new and used I'll end up spending only $1743.1-$2562.79.

Mods and Upgrades Already Bought or Completed
-TWM short shifter
-Solid shifter mount bushings
-Powell rotated engine mounts
-Ingalls Shifty torque dampener
-LNF shifter linkage
-Saab Stage II clutch
-new F35 transmission (selling when clutch goes and buying G85 LSD'd trans)
-Pioneer AVIC-U310BT Nav and Head unit
-Hifonics 1200W amp
-12" Pioneer subwoofers x 2
-Pioneer interior speakers (stock replacements)
-15% rear, 22% front tints
-"aux cable mod"
-Duralast Gold Ceramic brake pads
-Nitto Motivo 215/45ZR17 91W'
I'm trying to think if I have any technology or antique/valuable things I can sell to get all those parts sooner lol. And I'm probably going to go 80# injectors/E85 tune/catless dp

dont do the 50's on that pulley. you will be pretty much maxing them. jump to the 60's or 80's

ya do the 60's. and when they tuned me at zzp they recommended me going from a 2.8 to a 2.9 because he said that I am boosting too much and i have around the same setup, so keep that in mind as well
