It really must be an SS thing then. Because I never get weird looks, hate, or "look at this guy" type of vibes off of anyone. Most people really dig my car and are impressed that a Cobalt can actually look good. I don't drive into places thinking my **** doesn't stink though either so that probably helps.

Oh, that and....80% of the time they think my car is a Jetta until they get closer. LOL

some SS black SC peeled out of the parking lot getting them kicked out. i had just got my TC first time going out to woodward, i had the whole crowd around my car makeing threats to destroy my car and to leave imediatly. i dont think my cars hot **** i just love the cobalt i think they are great cars. last few times i go out there which alot of people know is once in a blue moon. im guessing i should take the SS's off my car, "oh my is that an SS" gets anoying. also one time i was out there i was told i couldnt park here because daddy bought my car. (probly cause i look 16) realy 25. another one that made me hate them, went to a local car meet of Xceed members and one guy with a G8 all modded goes why do you even drive that cavalier. first off that pisses me off. i go its a Cobalt SS turbocharged FYI then he gets all up in my face like im saying its fast and says dude just cause its turbo doesnt make it fast you know whats fast my G8. im all like yea i know cause its RWD and a V8. left and never came back.

No, i just don't do it, nobody cares and flying out of lots just makes you look like an ass. Not one person will be amazed or impressed. usually when peeps do that everyone looks and makes a snarky comment about how stupid they are.

i get that a lot from kids at my school. Just cause my car has a 2.4L in it dosent mean its not an SS sure its not supercharged or turboed but its still not a base model with a 2.2L (no offence to Jookycola or xxBlackBalt89xx or anyone else that has a base model cobalt) and sure its not the quickest car but it gets the job done when i need it to.

I like this new generation of wrenchers who aren't making up for the small size of their dick via their car and are mostly into cars because 1) it's fun 2) it's mechanical and interesting and 3)racecar

Most of the people i've met that are wrenchers tend to be kids like me who don't give a **** what someone thinks of them and usually have a reddit/4chan/something awful sense of humour and self awareness.

Also the whole built not bought BS. I live in an apartment with no place to work on my car and no place to store toolboxes and when I do work on my car I need it running same day or as close to. Since I use it for work so what if I pay a professional to do the work for me to have it done sooner and with as little hickups as possible. Doesn't make me less of an enthusiast .

Well those are the reasons I barely ever go to meets and ****. /end rant
