i got nothin against civics, I was looking for one but theyre over priced, parts are too expensive, and my gf thought it was the UGLIEST thing ever.
she's trying to get me to not buy a RHD car but i think it's mostly because she loves drive thru's so much.

I always read that the honda game was pricey and I didn't really want to pay $6,000 for a 91 haha. I did almost get a 2008 Civic SI but the insurance was twice what my IRL is

I see alot of younger kids with civics and they just slap on the loudest ebay muffler and drive like a jackass all over the place. they kind of give the tuner lifestyle a bad name because they end up wrecking or getting pulled over so automatically the cops hate all tuner cars and the people who drive them. I cant drive my car on a friday night without getting pulled over and harassed by cops.

2008 STIs were slow as ****....or maybe it was the WRX only. All I know is that 2008 WRX or STI had tons of problems.
Tim they're not that pricy at all. One of, if not the most affordable car to mod on the market.

I drove a 2008 sti and it was fast as ****. I would assume its the Wrx cuz the sti is a blast and fast. I haven't heard anything bout them having problems but I'm getting the new body style hatch in prolly a year. Wanted one for 3 years now
true but we do make up the younger crowd of car enthusiasts so we get pulled over more.

All this talk about shifter parts reminds me that I need to install the bushings... The lnf bracket was a must have for me. My car never really liked down shifting into 3rd, It would grind like 50% of the time. It hasn't happened once since I put that bracket on.
how many of you have your cars modded with a higher miles on them and are they still running pretty good?
I only have 65k on my car now but it slowly climbs every year.

i built my buddies civic. has a k24 in it and keeps up with my car no problem.... it will be at the xceed meet. black banged up hatch he rolled. one and only lol
That really isnt alot of miles either. I could use a new clutch but atm it doesnt slip at WOT. it might though after I add a few more parts while the car sits all winter
Someone has to have at least one with over 200k on it...maybe.

It was something about the turbo, plus that year had major bearing issues I believe. I even remember reading a magazine review that was quite displeased with it. We have a WRX and STI in my family also.

I like my cobalt don't get me wrong. IMO its the most powerful car that still gets good mpg. I mean idk how they did it but I'm amazed. But the sti is "that" car for me. I know everyone has one that they want to buy and the new body sti hatch is that car. I know insurance rates on them are high but they ride and drive amazing. Sexy body lines but amazing car.
But I like my cobalt, and plan to do some odds and ends. Have to take it to a mechanic to fix the rest of my supercharged pressure sensors so the code goes away after I sucked up water. It's been on for 1000 miles and runs perfect.
But Sunday, MSU racing club is doing a meet and going to uncle johns cider mill on Sunday at 2. I believe we are meeting on msu campus around noon. Anyone want to go? 52 cars are going

I'd say that after my IRL my list of wants is imported 2004-2006 Forester STI>Evo X/XIII>2006 WRX STI>2008/2010 WRX STI
If I some how find a WS6 trans am in mint condition or find a Skyline GTR R33 for cheaper than a FSTI to import then my priorities will shift accordingly :I

Yeah my dad has a WRX and loves them, won't buy anything else. I would be down but usually am busy Sundays. What grade are you at MSU?
Tim, my friends dad actually has an extremely nice white WS6 with like 40-50k on it.
