shibito, yeah i hope it's ready for you too, but if not you should still come out it'll be awesome.
Also i feel ya too, in college I had a cherry red eagle talon all tricked out. First car that I brought to college and have saved my ass off for. Researched and found a perfect one that was family owned and they were trading it to a dealer for a minivan (2kids and a 3rd on the way). So they let me have it for what the dealer offered them as a trade-in +$100. I was loving the car, then I went out with my buddies to see Blade 2 (yeah it was a long time ago).
We parked my car where I parked almost everyday and it was really shitty out (rainy/windy). At WMU we have these giant old oak trees and at 3am I get a call from the cops telling me to come down to look at my car. I told them to 'f off and when i find out who this is they are gonna get it' after they assured me it was really the cops and not a prank call I ran down in the pouring ran in my shorts and lying under this giant 85 year old oak tree was my car and about 4 others that had been turned into pancakes.
It took the insurance people over a week just to come look at it, i was pretty sure it was totaled, but if it wasn't from the storm, it was from all the drunk people walking back from random frat parties that weekend who decided to further smash in my windows and break things off the car!
I paid $7500 for it and I ended up getting $9800 from insurance. So all in all it worked out alright. I ended up with a Z24 cavalier and taught myself how to drive a manual... then finally upgraded to the SS/SC about 3 months ago

Colleges are rough on cars, too many bad/drunk drivers. Worst I had was when someone pulled out of a driveway (I was parked across the street) and they ran their bumper into the door of my 94 Z28. All of the paint buffed out, but they cracked the door (they are fiberglass) and separated it from the inner frame.

Until the brake lines burst and I rear ended my friend...I cried for days...

Yeah I hate driving my SS/SC on campus. I always try and park it out in the middle of the lot or if the lot is full always on the end... lol I don't care if it's winter, sun or shine I do it!
Anyways I'm still coming out for sure, but I may be coming out a little later than I wanted to. Maybe not until after 8pm or 9pm but I'll call Joe and find everyone.

Ok so i took my car in last monday for it cranking too long on start up and the day time running lights not working. They fix the DRL's but still havent been able to figure out the crank problem. Its been a week NOW! They thought it was the fuse box and they replaced that and it still does it. So they have the manager and even people from the GM Tech Center at the dealer ship trying to figure out what the hell is going on. SOOO idk if ill be there on friday. As of right now my car is day to day.

Ok, well I have to bail...I originally thought both days were good for me, but I haven't been paying attention to this thread and was just told it was on Friday...and Friday I had prior arrangements. So have fun...sucks I won't be there.

08CobaltSSturbo (thats a long name right there): Your long cranking problem, is it intermittant and 3-5 seconds long? If so I have had the same problem. I let the ecotec service engineer know about it and the lead calibrator for the ecotec program was also notified. There was a Bosch ECU guy that came out to scan my car but it didn't exhibit the problem when he was here. Mine does seem to be having the problem less and less.
