NE Ohio Quality and Affordable Exhaust Work
I have some connections in the exhaust industry who can do really good work for good prices.
Any one in the Akron area (or any of you willing to drive out here) I can get you the hook up. They don't keep your car for days at a time, and will typically do the work right then and there (no appointment necessary) and let you chill/watch them do it.
They cannot do Mandrel Bending, so they cannot custom create the over-the-axle pipe.
Anything from the DP back they can work on.
Please note that Ohio laws state you MUST have a Catalytic Converter on your DP, otherwise you must have the car towed in. They cannot work on an exhaust that is Catless unless it was towed in, not drove in. (Unless you are putting a cat on it).
PM me and I'll get you the information you need.

In Summit county it does matter. Summit County enforces E-Check, so they are required by law to check for cats.
Since they are registered business of Summit County they can be fined and shut down for performing any exhaust work with out the use of a cat, unless they are putting one one, or the car was towed in.
Just trying to help out some fellow Cobalt owners.
I will check for you. They may or may not want the parts. I will let you know by the end of the day (but I doubt they will, so don't get your hopes up).

You cannot legally remove a cat anywhere in the state of Ohio or anywhere else in the USA. Its a federal offense to remove EPA certified equipment from a vehicle.
This law is enforced to various degrees depending on where you live. Cali, heavily enforced. PA, heavily enforced. Echeck counties, moderately heavily enforced. Rest of Ohio, seldom enforced.

Now no more thread jacking. I'm sure there are some people out there who need some exhaust work done. PM me what ever it is you need done, and I'll do my best to get you accurate pricing.

"affordable" is relative to one's own budget... lol so putting a specific price out would determine said relativity, yeah? lol

@BPacak:
Uh...no. Affordable as in what needs done. Some people need a DP put in. Some people need the exhaust rehung. Some people need an entire exhaust. Price will not be different if you're getting the same thing done on identical cars. The price will be different depending on what needs done or what is being requested. I said PM for pricing. It's job specific. And I put it on here since I'm a member of these forums, but it doesn't matter what kind of car you have.
And the place abides by federal law. As do all muffler places that are legit for the most part. In order for any shop to do work on an exhaust, it must have a catalytic converter. They can be fined large sums of money for removing one, gutting one, or working on an exhaust with out one. End of story. The only exception is if you trailer your car in and out. Legally, they are required to report it if you're driving on the street with out a catalytic converter, whether you like it or not. Don't like it, go some where else and pay 300$ for a 80$ job. It's not my loss. Just trying to help you guys out. So don't be a jerk.
@Drew:
I'm not sure what the difference is between the 2.4 and 2.0 exhaust is, so let me do some research and I'll get back to you.
@ssblacksc:
No problem man! Glad I could help you out. If any of your friends (no matter which car) needs some work, tell them to get at me and I'll get them pricing.

FYI Drew, sorry for not responding soon, but my contact said he'd have to look at your exhaust underneath. I can probably take a look at it for you when we meet up at Sonic. I'm fairly certain they are ran the same way (if you're getting cat back, minus the DP).
But before they give me pricing, I'd have to know for sure.
