I highly doubt that.

Heres a rundown on pricing for everything involved in my wheel/tire setup had I done it all separately, and not in a bundle.

$479 per wheel x 4 (quoted from gravanatuning.com)
$110 per tire x 4 (quoted from performanceplustire.com)
$30 per wheel x 4 for mounting/balancing (quoted from PTuning.com)
$116.86 S/H fees for the 4 tires to my address. (quoted from performanceplustire.com)
$181.33 S/H fees for the 4 wheels to my address. (quoted from gravanatuning.com)

All that comes to a grand total of $2,774.19. Thats $774.19 MORE than what I paid for my wheel/tire package (from wheelsnext.com), and thats for the EXACT same wheels/tires that came with my package, not just some randomly sourced 19" wheels/tires. Not to mention, for $774.19 less, I had it shipped to my door, and all I had to do was jack the car up, take the stock wheels off and throw the new wheels on. Saved me the trouble of driving around with a car full of wheels/tires to get the tires mounted/balanced.

If your saying that buying your wheels by themselves via a group by and having to buy tires seperately and then pay to have them mounted balanced is gonna be cheaper than just buying a wheel/tire package, where everything comes shipped to you ready to put on the car.......I ask that you please keep the receipts.....b/c I saved $774.19 doing a package deal.

well seeing as a normal price for the rims is about 780(per wheels next.com) and then with the good tires i would want (falken 615's) they cost 1392 so with me paying only 380 for the rims now. and then the tires are about 500 new even with mounting im a good 400 under.

So you saved $400 on your wheels through the group by?? If you can somehow find the tires you want in person to avoid pricey shipping and give the guy who mounts/balances your setup a nice ******* so he'll do it for reduced price....then maybe.....just maybe.....it will be cheaper.

$1,392 for 17" wheels and tires!?!

Jess is look at getting some 17" TSW's with tires for $952. And TSW's are really really nice wheels.

My 18"s (Enkei WDMs, long gone) were only $1,200 w/ tires (included shipping, mounting and balancing).

I dunno, maybe i'm wrong, but that price still seems steep to me.

lol, have fun with those in the rain. Hope you don't plan on running those as your daily setup. I mean you'll be able to use those on the street, but if you get caught in a downpour.....you better pray. My roomate has those same tires on his 18" AP wheels on his STI.....and even w/ AWD, in a downpour, he gets scared, lol. Now in normal, light rain its not too bad......

hhhhmmmmm.... ill take it into consideration. i was really looking into them how wide are his? wider tire wont push the water away as easily not a very stong argument with awd but who knows. they cant be any worse than mine currently. my current tires are garbage.

but its probably either them or some bfg gforce a/t kdw's

With any luck I might have my front lip by the meet. What kind of wheels/brakes? I have Powerslots/Hawk HPS pads all around and I love them.
