Wish someone could tune my Mazda. Piece of ass motor is burning a ton of oil atm. Looks like blown PCV valve. Which leaves me with a trip to AAP tomorrow and a day of replacing the part and seafoaming the s.o.b.. Checked the oil today at 2500 miles, and it was down 5 quarts. I was on a single quart of oil, which may end up meaning a spun bearing.

I'm doing a teardown this afternoon to see if there was any damage from running low. The oil was smoking lightly so I am worried. It runs alright, just when I come off 4k-6400 rpm, I hear a weird noise. And it seems to be down on power a ton. Last thing I want is to rebuild the bottom end, but I have two cars atm, so I will be alright. I added oil and am going to check it to see how much drained out today. If I did an oil change 2 weeks back and it lost it that quickly, its going somewhere. Its most likely the PCV blow-by valve. They get stuck open, which causes oil to think out quickly and burn which is what likely happened. They also get stuck closes and that builds up pressure in the manifold which can blow it off the block. I'll update when I know more. Its still drivable, just a little worrisome.
