Alright, I'm mainly trying to gauge interest from Michigan members but any one else who wants to come is more then welcome! There's a GREAT section of road up in the Keweenaw Peninsula in the U.P. of Michigan. This road is not widely known as it's so remote. There's little traffic and even fewer police, not that I would ever advise speeding on this road with it's twists.

There's sections of this road that are seem very narrow because of the tree density on both sides of the road and the trees coming right up to the shoulder. This is mostly only known by car enthusiasts that happen to attend Michigan Tech which is a short drive away. I'm gonna road trip there summer 2010, probably sometime in June or July.

I'd like to gauge interest for a group who wants to go up and stay at a hotel the night before, drive the road counter-clockwise, and then depending on the time we could either stay at the hotel again or drive back to my parents house in the Eastern U.P. for a free place to stay the night.

We'd be taking 26 up to Copper Harbor from Phoenix and 41 back.

Glad to see some one interested. There's a couple guys locally around me that will likely come as well. I'm hoping to have the OTTP Hardcore rear sway bar by time this goes down.

If it will be early June I'd be interested for sure. I will be home on leave in May-June for 30 days, so I'm guessing I will start my leave sometime early-Mid May, to which I would need to be back Early-Mid June. I am going to need exact dates. I am DEFINATELY interested, as this will give me a great time to test my new suspension I'll have. Keep me updated.

I would be down, depending on dates. I work weekends, so if we could do it in the week, I would be in for sure! I might have a buddy from GB that would be interested too. Keep us informed!

I'm thinking we're going to have to get a meet together so we can all talk about this. We're going to have to find the date that works best for every one. We could possibly do a 2-3 day trip for those who can afford more then 1 day and those who can't make it on the same day as every one else. Possibly a Friday and Saturday event or Thursday-Friday.

Thursday Friday would work for me, as long as there isn't a big drag event, lol. I won't know that til about a month ahead of time. And a meet wouldn't work for me, cuz I live in Illinois, haha.

Oh they are. I've been in the area once before. I don't see most of the trip going over 45mph max on those roads. Even with our cars.

I don't kid when I say a Lotus would be pushing it at 55mph. There's places where you really feel like you are in a tunnel because of the tree density on both sides of the road. There's also some GREAT scenery so be sure to bring your cameras. I'm sure we'll make plenty of stops to check it out.

Oh man you're missing out! It's amazing up there! Next to no traffic and vast expanses of road just asking to be torn up.

I have been many times camping with the family, it is quite nice and some of the views are amazing.

i dont know if i can make it, a date would be great! than i will know if i can. also, what are the chances that i could ride with someone if my car is down for tunning?

I'll have an open passenger seat. Have a video camera? Would be awesome to to get videos. It's hard to set a date right now because it's so far in advance. Lets shoot for the first or second weekend in June though. It's still going to be quite cool up there in May. Even in June we could see highs only in the 50's.

I would need a date but yeah i would be interested. I just got a badass camera for christmas as well and i would love to be able to take some pics of the U.P and cars and stuff.
