In light of the 2 threads on SVTPerformance.com and here on CobaltSS.net that were complete bashfests, I would like to invite a few of you fast CobaltSS owners out to US 41 Drag way this Saturday for a friendly grudge match.

BilletFlow is sponsoring the event and we are a premier manufacturer of aftermarket parts for the 03-04 SVT Cobra as well as the CobaltSS.
We would love to see some fast Cobalts come out and show their stuff!
Remember, this is supposed to be a Ford Only event.... so we will pick out a couple of the fastest Cobalts to run against a couple CPIE Cobras.
I will have parts available at the track and I'm sure that I'll probably be giving some stuff away as prizes too

The Midwest SVT Challenge is an awesome event!
We rent out US 41 (in Morocco, IN) for the day and it is for Fords ONLY. The past 4 MSC's had about 70 cars. Most people were able to make at least 12 to 15 passes (maybe even more) with almost ZERO waiting!! There will be races for cash prizes… more information is to come. Our sponsors usually GIVE AWAY goodies and supply the prizes for a GREAT raffle. This is an awesome event for those who are new to the drag racing scene. You can get in tons of practice and get advice from other experienced racers. This is the event to be at!!
Prices:
At the gate = $45
Spectators = $5 (kids are free)

the people that were bashing are idiots... a modded cobra vs a cobalt is like putting mike tyson agains a high school boxer... it's stupid, wrong, and not an even match... we have like 2 people in the 12's, and a bunch in the 13's... that's about it right now because there's really not many performance upgrades available at this time...
i mean come on... 390hp, 390 tq vs. MAYBE a 12 or 13 second cobalt?? haha

Well, lets see. It's like a 5 hour drive for me one-way, and you've given me a 3-day notice. No, I can't make it. I wouldn't be interested in racing a bunch of 11 second cobra's anyway. Especially when the owners think that the Cobra is the best thing since sliced bread. Thanks for the invite though.

a stock svt cobra with a first time driver will run 12's all day... a shitty driver will run very low 12's... the fastest cobalt we have here is in the mid 12's i think...
hey guys, i know... let's challenge some 17 second cars!!

I consider myself to have a mildly fast cobalt, and even i wouldn't touch a mildly modified cobra. Untill some of the cobalts begin breaking the 400hp mark i think its like comparing apples and oranges.

I think there are a few Cobras coming from St. Louis... you could ride out with them.

Hardly any stock 03-04 Cobra's even exist. It would be one thing if it was cars that our in our league. Even if it's for fun, I don't care to be at a meet where eveyone hates your car.

it would be different if it was really a "just for fun track day for all to come and run"... but a svt cobra meet with one or 2 cobalts?? that would be people talking **** all night, and i really don't see it ending up very well...

ummmm a blown 400hp car against a blown 250hp car, why would we even have to waste the gas? high 12's on a stock car, rob's the only one in the 12's around here that i know of.

wow... no one was bitching... no one turned this into a bitchfest... all we said was that it doesn't seem like a good idea, and it's pointless, and no one wants to drive somewhere to get beat by a car that has 180 more hp, and 190 for ft/lbs, and that's IF it's still stock...

damn I would like to go.... I almost took out a stock 04 at e-towm.... he only ran a 13.79... hahaha... he couldn't drive.... but if I was closer I"d definately come down... I need some new times for the new mods... don't care if I get ass raped by some 900 whp cobra.s its all fun.

without a doubt, the one guy i know that owns a cobra loved my car, but from the first post you made it sound like they wanted to race, and i would hope that most of us don't think the cobalt will outrun a cobra
i think that's where the "wtf???!?!" stuff came from lol
