I was finally able to talk to the guy that bought Doc's car. Nice guy. Doesn't act like a ricer. Got to look under the Hood and see what he's got. Found out he popped cylinder 4, which is why he got it replaced. Running a 2.8, 60s, and only an intercooler with the factory setup will pop an LSJ.

Joe #1, I'm gonna try to get this kid to meet up with you so that you can tune him.

I tried to explain how he popped his motor because of insufficient cooling. I told him to check his intercooler water pump and invest in a 2pass setup with option b.

I also tried to get him to introduce himself on the forum. I hope he logs on.

I ran that setup fine for 3+ years. I even ran a 2.5 without an issue. It's the driver..!! I watched him pull out Hall Chevy, get gas at the WaWa then proceed to hit the rev-limiter for a LONG time in front of Hall towards 664. He has no idea what he's doing. I even detuned it a bit before selling it. I removed some timing midrange and up top.

FWIW, it has an extra cobra heat exchanger and a newer intercooler pump.

Anyway...the dude doesn't know how to drive.

As far as tuning, it's been tuned but if Joe wants to have fun, get on it. I have a few left, I think.....

I've seen a lot of people run a 2.8 if not lower, hell I believe Daniel and Kenny are two local examples. I assume Connor is saying not without "dual pass" but I'll let him continue.

BTW I'm not agreeing or disagreeing, I'm all for efficiency on a boosted engine and feel it should be key.

http://www.allecotec.com

On a sidenote I scored all the arm-rest parts today from the car my trunk came off of for $10.

$10! Moonroof was busted so cleaning was fun, but eh, it shined up and made it to the car.

I also disposed of my OEM trunk .

I might not be in VA for much longer guys... I'm going to Afghanistan in one month and then once I get back I'm putting in a packet to go to Special Forces Selection to become an 18B SF weapons Sergeant. High speed ****. But, I'd be in Fort Bragg for 36 weeks and then only god knows where after that. So...Sometime within this month I'm going to attempt a meet if you all would still welcome me after such a long hiatus.

Is it a yellow one with what looks like cobalt air brushed on it trying to look like a transformer or some kind of cartoon car?
