talked to joe earlier hope you guys got the bypass solenoid and vacuum lines straight. When i did the dual pass and cleaned my throttle body and blower i was throwing a 174 lean code, it went away though after a few weeks. Sometimes the gaskets just need a few heat cycles through them before they seal properly

now you need to change your status to trying like hell to put miles on my car

 

Just got the HAHN CAI intake put on today. Took it to the Coast Guard Hobby shop and realized they had less tools than my walmart tool box lmao. Should have just done it in the driveway.

 

that's what you get for going to the coast guard. It's too long of a distance to get tools. So they only use what's close to the building.

 

Lol. I gotta find a way to use that on one of Kim's friends. Her dad was a coast guard officer. She went navy.

 

I got a winshield wonder brand new, still in the box if anyone wants t buy it for $10...its one of those as seen on tv things

My car won't shift into fifth gear. I have use of 1-4 and reverse. Trying to figure this out.

 

its either in the cables, or internal. The linkages on the tranny the two that are there, one is for 1st gear and reverse the other is for the remaing gears ill let you know which is which so you know which cable to check

 

Kenny, one cable is forward and back at the shifter and the other is side to side. At first we couldn't get either rev or 5th. Played with the adjustments (really shouldn't have had to) and finally got rev. 5th seems to only want to "partially" go in. Sometimes it will try to grind, sometimes pop out, or might stay if you hold it. It seems like something was too tight internally, but seems to be getting easier, other than the 5th issue. Hopefully it's not an internal problem.

The look on Danew's face when the engine first fired up was "priceless"!! Now we just need to sort the trans, so he can wash that dirty piece of **** and start breaking it in.

A few have recently asked about tunes locally. Well, I'm the "excellent" tuner that Joe Schulte mentioned. As for the "old" guy others mentioned, I have no idea of who he is, but have heard that he is good, too.

Some of you have been wanting a tune for your LSJ, but for some time the beta versions had a bug for scanning the LSJs. Can't tune that way! Because of file format changes, reverting to the public release would have created a lot of file compatibility issues and a lot of work redoing files.

Good news is that HPTuners has fixed the bug with a new compile and I've confirmed that it's working fine now.

Then, as soon as that got solved, my daughter's computer took a dump and I loaned her my laptop for end of semester work. Finally got that back.
