Thinking about tossing it up on Craigslist/Autotrader in the next week. Been a thought for a minute, might just give it a shot. I'm in between on it daily, it has to do with way more than the car, but we'll see. It makes me extremely happy to drive everyday though, no lie! Just need to explore the option and think about upcoming events.
what are you asking..??

Danew is the man.

Frank, unfortunately I owe, I'd have to get that out of it which is right around book. Might be safe, in reality I'm always going to need a car and it'd be nice to hang onto one for a minute. We'll see.

welp got the mr2 over to jays shop. Cleaned it out and did a fews things on it only to find out the motor is seized up. I pulled the plugs and put some penetrant down in the cylinders and hopefully shell break loose. When my dad had the car she turned over by key trying to start but wouldnt crank. Shes just sat for so dam long. Me and jay are thinking about getting an LSJ long block and trans, and making a custom swap. Ill just have to fabricate the mounts, transmission shift cables, axles and hubs. But man would that MR2 be bad ass with our motor in it

Let me know, brother. Kandahar ain't a bad spot. The Brits have been a bit hostile since their goal keeper let us score in the World Cup opener but other than that, it's all good here.

The LSJ swap is popular in the Fiero. I wouldn't be surprised to see one in a MR2.

Exhaust nuts, bolts, and gaskets are all in. I have Saturday off work. Looks like I'm going to the hobby shop this weekend to fix my exhaust. Guess I'm going to make it worth my time and install some SS/TC springs and HIDs in my headlights too. Anybody else want to come along, maybe offer a helping hand?

What hobby shop?

BTW for the local LSJ's, I have a set of brand new 42's with harness for sale if anybody knows someone, etc. Will cut a killer deal on them.

Hobby Shop is at NAS Oceana.

A local place you might be able to get the AEM intake is a company called Bap Geon. They are in Norfolk and Newport News, and specialize in import cars. You will pay too much through them. Buy your intake online.

lmao

On a side note. Waiting for Dejon BPV spring to see if this fixes my issue.

If not I'm going to assume maybe one of my hoses has a crack in it.

What I'm getting here is random boost when changing gears and the BPV constantly going off under light acceleration. Changed the spring to a different stock one (used). Friend had it left over from his Dejon BPV upgrade. The random boost issue is now gone. When removing the hose that goes from the T connector on intake manifold to the BPV on the turbo when the car is off, it still "blows off" some compressed air is still remaining in the BPV. Which is why I would guess why my car constantly reads .3-.5 PSI on the guage when it is off? I also sometimes feel as if the car is dropping off "stalling" from air or lack there of sometimes when this random BPV happens. Going to try a filter change as well. Might need a new MAF.
