he should just post up the details so we can all see
if we want to try an ecotec cruise for that Friday could have it where we meet off site ~1 hr before we leave (like somewhere on big beaver or telegraph/ big parking lot) then coordinate

everyone! its a good time i"ve been to every one since it started i will be in my cobalt or the husbands cavalier (it's a race car ) let me know where everyone is .i know the area well grew up there. hope to see u all .
where at on 13 in the shopping center or what? i'll be at lincoln in a parking lot by the bp .

I will also post the details on here so everyone can see.
I also propose that we take a vote on which day to get together and what would work for everyone.
I'm still waiting to hear from solsticeforum.com so I don't know what's going on with them yet. And a Saturn Ion RL owner said he'd probably join up with us from the South East ECOTEC Enthusiasts but that's all i've heard from there yet.
Of course most or all of us will be up there for the main day (Saturday August 16th) but I won't attempt to cruise on Woodward that day with how busy it will be. I have a grandmother who lives right off of N. Adams by Derby Middle School, so I'm going to park there and walk to Down Town Birmingham.
But I would certainly welcome everyone getting together that day if they want to.
These were the days I was thinking
Thursday August 14th (same day the solstices are cruising down Woodward)
or
Friday August 16th (day before main cruise)
And we'll also need to find a place to meet up.

well is the friday or the saturday the 16th?? and do you think we cruise behind the soltices or the same day?? i am thinking friday would work or saturday either day

yeah the dates are right zetterbergfan1. The main day of the cruise is Saturday August 16th.

ok friday souds rock solid we ahve that down. now do we want to ride in with the soltice group or by ourselves?? thats the real question along with where we want ot meet up?? What time the birmingham to detroit isnt that long is it?? only maybe 20miles?? am i missing anything?? (probably)

Yeah, we'll set the date for Friday August 15th.
Well in order to roll with the Solstices we'd have to do it Thursday. They are meeting around 7pm. But I think it sounds like Friday would work better with everyone. I also think it'll be better seeing that it's the day before the cruise and there will be more people out.
And yeah under normal driving it would only take 30 mins max to get from Birmingham to Down Town Detroit, I'd expect up to an hour just because traffic will be a little heaver in some spots, but when you roll through the suburbs of Detroit, there aren't too many people cruising really slow... lol
Also would anyone be interested in meeting up at a restaurant or something and all grabbing a bite to eat before or after we cruise? Just a suggestion.

they cruise all week long friday will be busy also if u dont want the traffic go during the week i know first hand it's crazy out there i was out last year in my firebird (69) but i sold it a few months ago). if u have never been there get there early if u want to park somewhere we go at 5 am . have fun

yeah forgot about traffic. should have known i work in the netro area and its bad and its farmington hills. but 96 is always packed so and with the wixom contruction its even worse. i would be down for eating but where?? Novi has a alot of choices hooters, bww (buffalo wild wings), mongolian bbq, ummred robin, tgi fridays, famous daves whatever you want they probably got it!! (i go to eat for lucnh if you could not tell!!!) but yeah now i am excited. ss4ever is you are compiling a list for who all is going count me in!! for sure i will have to get that day off possibly or go straight from work

I plan on being there and I go every year. I'm from Waterford, MI but now I live in Ohio. I'll probably be heading up Thursday..... maybe Wednesday, and will be there through Sunday. Someone PM if you want to meet up in the Waterford/ Pontiac area if you want to cruise with me as I'll probably be rolling with some friends.

^ Opi, I live right next door... well during the weekends at least over in Canton... If you wanna meet up and cruise out there sometime before the Dream Cruise, and if anyone else does for that matter let's plan out a day.

11th or 12th i'm good, 18th and 19th is a no go, going to be installing my ZZP exhaust, 25th or 26th would be fine as well. basically just next next weekend i'm busy
