You may have sportlines; but you'll never touch the aggresive handling of these coilovers with those.

What size tires you running?
235-45-18 tire size..handlin is good, but i knw coils are better...only reason i bout springs was cuz i wanted the car to sit good and look aggressive..my wheel gap is 1 finger on the back, and can barelt sqeeze 1 finger up front..also no rubbing issue's at all

234/45/18; I rest my case

When I get 245/40/18s I'll have to raise my shocks and struts back up.

40's gonna look to skinny bro...i wanted to go 40's,but all the potholes, speed bumps and crap, put alot of pressure on ur struts and ur rims are more likely to crack

i didnt even put 1k on my car after i bout it,and put that size tire on at 14k and now have 38k and no rubbing at all,and tires are still in brand new condition..about 80% thread life left on them

Is it hard to get all four corners evened out? Do you have to just adjust all of them by eye measurements or what?

Was any prgress ever made on putting these on the Ion? I can't see why they wouldn't work as-is, but apparently some people think they won't. If you need a Guienea Pig, hit me up.

Can they be ordered with different spring rates from the get go? No use having extra springs laying around, and I need something a LOT more aggressive than 450ish front anfd 230ish rear, LOL - maybe 420 to 460 front and 480 to 550 rear as a ballpark. You know, for real driving.

Any possibility of camber plates, at least for the front? No instant camber adustment means highly unlikely I'll be on board unfortunatly, especially with the B&G set coming in only a couple hundred more with full camber plates and everything.

Still - I like the look, I like the manufacturer, I'm interested, but this thread seems to have dies off. ???

These have pillow ball mounts for the front, as well as camber plates.

The rear, because of the factory design, cannot have pillow ball mounts or camber plates.

Im not sure if they will fit the Ion. If someone would purchase a set, we would take them back with a full refund IF they didnt fit and were not scratched, greasy, etc.

We've offered this before, however no one has stepped up to the plate to accept our offer.

Hmm. Well - what about the spring rate question firstly, and are the shocks retuned for stiffer springs secondly (or is the rate of adjustment sufficient for a much stiffer spring).

If I can get them with the spring rates I want and I know that the shocks won't be underdamping at full stiff with a 9 or 10k spring rate, then I'd probably be willing to give it a shot, becuse they really SHOULD fit. IIRC, the differences between our suspension (Ion and Cobalt) as far as mounting points are concerned apply only to front swaybars. The Koni shock insterts had a small issue in that the Saturn top hat was different, but that wouldn't matter with coilovers now, would it? And I'm putting in FE5 lower control arms anyway, so IF there's an issue there for some reason, it won't be.

Anyone know different?

They should stand up just fine to autox or track days; I would hope they're at least as strong - if not stronger - than the stock components they replace, which hold up fine.

I will be ordering these, but must discuss with the manufacturers the camber plate/pillowball problem.

Modernceo - I don't know how I didn't already know this, I never looked at my towers, I just ass-umed they were "standard"... The Ion's cannot use a camber plate/pillowball mount, as we have domed, not flat, single-bolt type strut mounts. Can these be had sans-plates? Also, about the available spring rates and shock tuning..?
