First cobalt ss already have problem need help

Hi so a few weeks ago I bought a bright yellow 06 cobalt ss/sc and I love it I love the look and everything but just yesterday it started doing this "engine power reduced" and it won't boost at all and really hard to drive and I have little throttle response and I do get a check engine light so I hooked up the reader and I can't remember what the codes were but there were two one was throttle position sensor malfunction and crankshaft position sensor malfunction and I don't know much about these cars but I'm pretty mechanically inclined but would replacing the TPS fix this problem? so I can at least drive the turd till I can fix the CPS so I just wanted other people's opinions on this since I'm pretty new here

Thanks

I have a similar problem that I just posted today. Mine may be a little worse, unfortunately. Hopefully yours is as simple as just replacing the throttle body (maybe swap to the ls4 throttle body)?

Let us know if that fixes your problem. And I look forward to reading more about your upgrades in the fture.

Remove the throttle body and clean it carefully. These cars are known for building gunk on the throttle body and it affects performance. After that try to get the codes cleared at your local autozone etc. let us know if that helps. From there you can move on to the crankshaft sensor.. But take care of the easiest things first

It's important to not play with the butterfly flap while cleaning, you'll need to have someone to car on (engine off) and hold the gas pedal down to open it. Wet the Rag and wipe carefully.

But I agree with blue, I'd replace the throttle body

I'm glad you resolved your issues. I finally managed to make time to remove my intake hose and there is a lot of gunk. Butterfly looks stuck open. Hopefully I can clean it tomorrow and drive normally after.
