new guy with a rust bucket

Hey I just aquired a 2007 Pontiac G5 for free. My brother in law got it from a friend and was going to scrap it but as soon as I saw it I was like no way. So I gave him a 1998 Saturn sl1 and 1999 Saturn sl1 to junk instead. Keep in mind both those cars don't run. Anyways back to the G5. It's got the 16" alloys on it, beautiful interior and looks great. Problem is she's damn rusty underneath. Rocker panels are gone and the floor needs work. I would be better to get something else but for some reason I am drawn to this car. Kinda like the movie Christine kinda deal. It has 320,000km on it. But turn the key and it immediately start. The starter doesn't even wirr once just starts. I know I got a big job ahead of me but he'll I think she's worth it.

I really want to see a build thread on this, if your serious about tackling the rust on that car and restoring it please document it!

Also welcome! Pics and planned mods?

I will document as much as I can. FYI this is my first time tackling something like this so it won't be the best job ever. First time welding too. But I really want to do this myself. I have no pics of it since I'm a long haul trucker and I picked it up right before I left to go on the road but I'm trying to get my brother in law to send me pics since it's still at his house.
