Welcome to the forums. I also have an 05 SS/SC. Engine/tranny are strong, just everything else needs some love, lol. But I always forget the problems as soon as I'm driving.

Welcome. What Nissan did you have before? I had a 92 Se-r about 6 years ago that I swapped a UKDM SR20 into it. My cobalt reminds me a lot of that car but with mo powa.

i had a 97 SE-R and put an sr20DET in it and i still have a 96 with an SER conversion (interior trunk fenders bumpers) still has the GA16 motor and tranny though has 245k miles on it. Ill swap it when it dies haha i had the subaru 520 inj n62 maf Aeromotive 340 fuel pump and a JWT ECU everything else was pretty much stock on the DET

Hell yeah. I had two B13s with the GA16. It's a good motor despite being slow. My Se-r had an aem intake, hks exhaust, eBay header, and road magnet Springs on KYB agx struts. It was a fun car. I was always thinking about a VVL swap before I sold it.

Don't put a turbo motor (LNF) in it.. That's a waste. Buy a s256et turbo and slap it on the engine you have now. Make 450whp pretty reliably as long as you have a good tuner.

yeah i have a LNF block that has really bad scarring in the cylinder walls so i will bore the scratches out and and build it for a turbo. thats why i had to swap it in the first place. Would an LNF motor with a s256et Turbo be the build to do? with a new bottom end and ported and polished head? and is it worth going different cams too? i would rather not mess with the valves if i dont have to
