Reversed polarity possible damage?
2007 cobalt ss/ sc 2L
Ok, so I finally reversed polarity for my first time after changing out batteries countless times. anyways, here’s what I was doing. I replaced the roll pin, something I’ve also done countless times with this car, and I decided to swap out the battery from the cobalt for the one I have in my evo and this is where the mistake happened, didn’t notice I put the battery in backwards. When I connected the battery backwards there was no crazy arching from battery or noticeable damage when I connected. Went to turn the car over and nothing, of course. Dash lights came on as usual, dome and trunk. Went to check and noticed it was reversed. Corrected the mistake and car still didn’t want to turn over. Can hear relays click but no crank no start. Checked the grounds and in-line fuse by battery. Fuse good, disconnect and reconnected grounds, pos cable going from fuse box to starter good from what I can tell. Got around to going back through the fuse box, checked fuses I thought may be the issue, they checked out, disconnected everything from the fuse box and reconnected. After trying again the car started! However low beams didn’t work, radio wasn’t on and horn wouldn’t honk. The fuses seem good for all of these. However after starting the car a couple times and then letting it run, it died and dash said power steering and went back to not wanting to crank or start and is now showing the car lock symbol on the dash in the lower right corner. I’ve stopped messing with the car for the night as it’s nearly 3am now, however figured I’d reach out to this forum to see if I can get any insight to help save a bigger headache in the morning. Posted the car up for sale and have someone wanting to buy tomorrow and this thing just had to throw me one more curve ball before I hopefully get rid of it haha. Any advise would be appreciated, I’m not too familiar with these cars.

I mean you posted this at 3am on a forum that doesn't see high activity, rapid responses aren't going to come through.
What did you do to fix it? In case someone else comes here with the same or similar issues
