I think I have a valid reason that I might be missing this now....
I was fired today...
If I can get another job soon enough (or if I do get unemployment benefits...which will not be a whole lot less than what I made), then I may still be attending.

I was fired. It wasn't any specific thing I did. Since last year when my life turned upside down with the wife leaving and the house going into foreclosure, my work performance has gone down...started with tardiness and I had a couple warnings about it, but I got my act a little together and started getting there on time. More recently according to them, my performance (which isn't something that can really be measured by anything because there are multiple factors in how much production gets done and other things) has taken a drop. I had a meeting with them on the 25th of March and the following week and yesterday I thought I was doing better. Made sure to be on time, did some extra work here and there and stayed a little longer to make sure some of it got done. Apparently they decided yesterday that they didn't think I would be able to recover from my funk or something of the sorts so they decided to part ways with me before things got worse. I talked to my supervisor and manager a little...my supervisor called me when he got off work and we talked about some things. They weren't the ones behind this decision. The GM was and he doesn't care for me much. My boss and supervisor saw the performance issues, but didn't make this final call.
So I have since applied for unemployment and more than half a dozen jobs. I will find something better with 6 years experience in a multitude of positions. I have a lot of qualities and experience that should help me find something better even if I have to start out making less money. This job had no advancement opportunities anyway...all moves I made were lateral.
In the end I left with my dignity and my head up and I am happier that I won't have certain stress associated with that job. Now I just need to worry about being jobless. Hopefully I will get unemployment until I find something else. If not, I'm in big trouble.

The good news is that I get a paycheck this week for the past 2 weeks, plus, since yesterday was my 6-year anniversary with the company, I accrued my vacation for the year and had 2.25 hours left from last year so that plus 8.75 hours from Monday will be on a paycheck 2 weeks from Friday. That will help a little. Hopefully I can find something within a month or two. I will go crazy if I don't find something sooner.
I have a good variety of experience, but I'm not willing to take less than $12 an hour because I can't survive on less than that. Hopefully whatever I find, I will be able to get some raises and advancements in the company. My main qualifications are CDL class B with air brakes, forklift experience, warehousing, food production (bottled water), and a number of other things. I'm good with computers, numbers, and have pretty good typing skills. I have a number of other qualifications and along with my personality, I think that should help me find something even if it's entry level. The only downfall is driving positions may be wary of my 2 tickets from last May. I'd be golden if I didn't have those, but oh well.

Agree with Bart. Get something good together. I'm getting my car ready even if I can't go. I've done a few little things that were laying around. I now have HID's, winter tires will be off later today...LED bulbs are all in (dome, license plate, and reverse lights), but the pass. side reverse isn't working..may have to swap them and see if it's the LED or the wiring.
This unemployment may not last very long if I keep submitting all these resumes and applications...holy crap. People like what my resume says I think. Now we just need to go fill out some applications and see what they think of me...how can i sell myself? I guess I will need to shave and get a haircut. Wash my decent clothes. Just a nice polo and pair of nice jeans should to it. My Kenneth Cole shoes work nicely with the jeans for a dressed down look. PERFECT!
I should have a job in time to still go!

1. Please confirm if you are a YES, NO, TBD as of today for going to CED
2. If we can get 2 bed rooms, 4 people can sleep on beds and some on floors if they want. I was thinking a quiet room for sure and then a "late night" room. Kretty did you want to rent the late night room? Cuda you going to rent the quiet room?
3. Sign up for said things during the meet, go kart, cruise etc.
4. If you have ideas of car stuff, things to do, fun things to do at the meet, lets pm them to each other so that other groups dont steal our ideas. We are usually the only people to do fun things

I'm still TBD. I'm not out yet. I should have the money still no matter what...it's just going to be a whether I can make it type deal when I get closer. Depending on what comes up with work and other things.
I'd probably wind up in the quiet room, but who knows...maybe party a little.
Oh, and are they going to be having any kind of swap meet this year? I have factory headlights, a couple gauge clusters, and some misc. things I may throw in the truck to try and sell.
One last thing...I'm so fed up with my suspension, I think I'm just going to go buy coilovers and see if that fixes some of my problems. I honestly think the struts are going all ready and they're a year old. All that driving with pizza delivery last summer/fall and the shitty potholes all winter/spring (I hit some pretty good potholes). I'm also going to replace the sway bar because I'm fed up with that thing as well...time to get rid of the stock one. This stuff will be done before the meet and I'll have the money for it no problem. I'm sure it can't be any more difficult to install coilovers than struts/springs and shocks/springs, right? The only thing I have no clue about is how to adjust them properly...so I'll start researching and reading more about that. I'm thinking Stance or Pedders right now though. So then I'll also have a set of Pedders springs for sale come meet time.
