Looks like a line of storms heading our way. But with our luck it will brake up before it hits.... as always.

It started hitting and rattling again by the time I took the exit to the Rosedale Mall. I didn't go back and look at it yet.

I reread what the guy did to fix his exhaust. He ground off some of the exhaust at the joint to the downpipe. That allowed him to move the exhaust back and line up the high point of the exhaust over the torsion beam. He then made his own exhaust hangers with rubber hose and clamped the exhaust to the underbody of the car.

So, is it possibly to do a HID conversion on our cars? I found this website: http://www.hidxenonlights.com/

It looks like they might be local with the 612 area code. Anyone know how difficult it would be to do such a thing? The dim-ness of our factory headlamps are starting to **** me off. I almost hit another damn deer yesterday. The last 2 miles before my house suck with all the turns and stuff.

Any suggestions?

Here's the Cobalt section: http://www.hidxenonlights.com/chevro...s-c-643_71_142

Which one do I need to get? How difficult is it?

That's the address connected to the website. It's definitely possible to do. You can either go the eBay shitastic route or do retrofits by finding projector housings. You also need to mount the extra stuff that comes with HIDs.

You can do a conversion pretty easy!! But I would recommend getting projectors or you get alot of light scatter

You could just get this setup TJ...

Thats true they do suck. That would be cheaper than buying reto's, But on the other hand retro's would be worth every penny if they were done right!!

I think brett is one of few that had his led's and halo's last this long!! But I hear the 3rd gen are worse.

Problem is, I really don't like the look of the 1st, 2nd or 3rd gen lamps. Not my thing. Thinking of maybe going black like Cuda's and then converting them to HID's.

Personally, I'd absolutely LOVE to do a retrofit, but that is way over my head. I wouldn't know where to begin.

Oh well.

I don't hate my headlights enough to try a retrofit. If I did, I would have the parts and my original set of headlights would be torn apart already. If I did it, I'd probably find sort of high temp cooking bowl to cut apart and mount the projectors on that. That's the only thing I'm unsure of on how to do, mounting the projector housing.

Hmmmm. $175 is incredibly tempting now.

You can get stock headlights for $90 generally.

Do what I suggested man. Just do the conversion to your black h-lamps.
