how was the breather fixed, how long ago and did you data log the intake? Because theres plenty of threads stating the hose was a issue and people doing their own fixes, data logging has shown no intake of having proper ratios. Like I said just because a couple people do not have issues doesnt mean it it not a issue. There are plenty on this forum that have had a cel from the intake, heck all the intakes. That imo means its not properly designed. The failure rate sounds like a xbox 360. What about the exhaust? on everyones lowered SS it hits the torsion bar. Is that quality? was that designed right?
In my opinion, and not to bash you, but if you are testing hahn parts, you either get them cheap/free and are biased to them then.
When we were at the chicago CED meet 2 years ago, hahn brought a couple drag cars and some turbo sunfire and cobalt. Jeff and myself were walking and talking with the GMPP engineers and were looking at the hahn cars. The GM engineers found hahn had routed the brake lines right next to the turbo. They brought up the issue to bill? is that the dad guy that runs hahn? anyway and told him they noticed during testing the brake fluid would get well beyond its heat limit and the brakes would fail. Did hahn change their routing? I do not know but because if their lack of concern they showed I still fail give them much credit. Any company can turbo a car, or make parts. But making quality parts and using a engineer to design them is totally different. hahn doesnt even product them anymore they come from cali, which means they outsourced the production. Ok its cheaper, but the quality of those has decreased from what I've heard. The company I am in contact with does all inhouse and has engineers doing the design, building and testing. They are very familiar with the DI engine from the MS3 and do many more product development for evo, bmw, the gensis, etc. I hope they accept my plea and make some parts, specially that intake, so 1. There will be a quality part that is properly designed. 2. I can prove it was a easily fixed flaw in everyone else's intake. So far all I've seen is companies making quick products trying to make a quick buck. That is not good for the overall SS community.

I have heard multiple accounts of exhaust and intake manifolds being made in cali. They may be designed in house, but produced is a different story. We can argue all day about this.
Why don't you answer rallyracer? Are you that other username?

Alright! I talked to the owner well one of them, from CP-E, custom performance engineering. They are the best if not one of the best tuner/part maker/developers for DI engines in the US. They make parts and tune for BMW, Mazdaspeed 3/6, RDX, genesis 2.0t, evox, evo ralliart, mazda 3/6. They know DI and thats why I contacted them to see if they would develop parts for the 2008/2009 SS. I did this because of the lack of proper intakes and other parts on the market that are currently faulty and not plug n play like they should be. The current vendors may know efi but not DI and their lack of knowledge, testing and r&d is showing on the quality of their parts. This company makes all stuff in house, tests, and gives fantastic warranties on their products.

I will make a new thread to get a feel and then post pics of current products they make and try to get buzz going. If you want a product that was fabricated strictly for the LNF this will be it, they don't **** around.
I've very excited and hope this works out! I will try and find someone in MD to do the testing, they get 50% off the parts and free labor to install, if they are the test mule. If no one does it and cpe wants to make parts....I may drop my car off there..but we shall see, thats kind of far away.
