Amery Wis airport auto-x run video...This was one of the faster cars of the day. This isn't his fastest run but you get a good view of this one.

Jeff here I help you on the snow tires.

Mine are 205/60/16, but you are right there are no good tires in that size on TR.

I searched 205/55 and 205/50 and only 205/50 has the ultra grip gw3's and only /55 has the blizzak lm-25's and conit ts810's.

Here is the difference.
/60 is 4.03" of side wall
/55 is 4.43" of side wall
/50 is 4.8" of sidewall
More is better for winter but since you are lowered it may be better actually to go with 50. Also you are on a 16" rim so you'll have way more side wall then you are used to haha.

I would say go with the /50 get the gw3's, they are also much cheaper.

lm25

ts810

gw3s

As you see, the gw3 imo has the best pattern. it has the strip down the middle for grip on dry/wet pavement. Like our kdw's it has the runners to let water/snow out the side of the tire. it also has "chunks" of tire to get better grip on snow.

conti - imo looks good on light snow and ice but not a heavy snow. theres no chunks of rubber sections to really grip. it looks like a conticontact sport 2/3 with softer rubber.

blizzak - not a bad tread pattern, all chunks, which imo would lead to faster wearing and loud road noise. from the ratings it shows that it grips well in snow and water, tons of channels for water and snow to escape. But again imo it would wear faster as they also use softer rubber and it is $21 a tire more so 84 bucks? that could cover mounting.

Like I said my gw3's got me through blizzards and UP the hills during them. I even raced a subie up one and he couldnt pull on me I would buy them again and I still recommend them over the blizzaks. Mine look to have almost 80-90% tread left and thats well over 10k miles, remember how I drive 30k a year? lol they'd last 3-4 years with you. But any snow tire you get will be better than what you have now :P

After doing some late night research you know what i find amusing. In armature **** the girl is always wearing a necklace with a cross but no wedding band....hahahha

Jeff what are you thinking about the winter tires? I think i flipped the /60 and /50 side wall inches around....

If you are having issues, email kyle@tirerack.com thats my guy I talk to for everything. All the tires I saw in the /60 were not very good imo.

i wish that were my case. i've been workin on tommy's car for him. hid projection headlights, had to paint some eyelids for em, spark plugs, wires, msd ignition, subs, tie rods, cv joins.

then i get to put subs in my mom's car and also fix the ignition switch in aaron's gtp.

good and bad news about my car too though. that stupid sound in my exhaust was a little more of a serious problem than i thought... i'm driving tommy's car til my car is fixed. i took it up to chevy and gene looked at it and said nothing from the cat went into the exhaust like i thought as was makin noise in there. one of the chamber calls is breaking off in the resonator and if it fully breaks or heats up and bends far enough it'll plug the exhaust and my car will just die. it's already had quite a bit of power loss from restricted air flow.

the good news out of it is that i should be perfectly fine under corsa's lifetime warranty where they would replace the exhaust and possibly pay the labor cost as well. on top of that gene personally knows the founder of corsa performance so if they raise any fuss he'll talk to him. if they still don't cover it gene thinks he might be able to get chevy to cover it cuz chevy personally partnered with corsa for the cobalt ss and corvette so cuz of that partnership they should cover it. if you've got gene on your side there you're pretty much set so i should hear back from him on monday

oh and i got my code for the l4d2 demo since i have it preordered so i get that demo next tues and there's only 17 days til mw2!!!

i don't really know what was wrong with favre today, wasn't his fault. we weren't blocking for him well and the interception that was made was because chester taylor let the ball go through his hands when it was just above him. when we needed favre to throw he did and pulled through for us

i'm really not too bummed about the loss. the stealers are the defending superbowl champions and put up a good fight and cuz of 2 mistakes at the end we lost the game from turnovers

sorry jeff, missed your post

that's one of the many i know and talk to there. he's higher up so i don't know him as well but i'll certainly ask him. i should be hearing from him tomorrow about my exhaust so if i remember i'll ask him then. i'm sure it'll take him a day or two for a response though but i know they'd be willing to help anyone out with that and i'm assuming you're talkin about the stage 1 flash for the t/c not the s/c right?

I also sent them a PM about it today. I added the thread to see if there's really a market for them to make some money. We may want one but that doesn't mean everyone else does.
