it takes 3 connections to swap out your ecu lol. if you need help with that, you don't belong near a car

i thought there was some sort of process to link your car with the ecu. i haven't looked into it to much,i just know you cant slap the spare ecu in,start the car and go.

i haven't picked it up from ethan yet. i still owe him 50$ for it lol i bought some 1st gen headlights and his ecu,i just havent saw him too much to give him the 50$

he said he had an HP tune on the spare ecu,i think.

 

I might be a MN resident soon if all my loan paperwork goes through before someone else buys the house i'm looking at lol. It's in east grand forks.

yea my friend who works for mauer was telling me a little bit about it.

 

You cannot just "swap" ecu's and the car works But if your buddy works at a dealer, have him use the tech 2 and you'll be ok. It needs the f.... a car relearn and a clutch relearn. Then you have to add the vin etc to it. I learned the hard way.....

 

Right. I knew you couldn't just swap ecu's, there was a relearn process. I don't know what I'm going to dooooo

 

You just need a tech 2 to do the relearn. ex. your friend at gm dealer...can do it.

 

I could always save 2 tunes on my computer. One stock and one with tune

You can have as many tunes saved as you want. I always thought it would be cool to make a "valet" tune if you went to a casino or something. Rev limit at 3k and no power in it.
