thats why i havent put my pedders on. right after i bought them,i did some research and there were quiet a few people coming forward saying that the pedders were starting to fail.
i thought someone from minnesota had to put a football in the rear spring on a long drive so the tire wouldnt rub because of the pedder spring gave out.

Yeah, the Pedders have been on 3 years now and I need to get them off...they were good for probably the first year and a half in my case....then before 2 years they were just done. They aren't sagging too bad yet...but they're worn out (don't rebound very well)...it's horrible on certain bumps...especially 169S to 94W ramp...they're ******* with the road now and doing some repaving ****...there's a bad bump there and when I hit it today for the first time...oh it felt like the springs wanted to snap.
Swix...In regards to the Sportlines...you either had a fake set or bad luck...I had Sportlines on for 2 years and they were good springs...handling wasn't great...I mean they aren't YYZ or Pedders in that department, that's not what they're made for...but they handled better than FE1 springs and still kept the car somewhat comfortable and definitely looked good.

Well I guess I was oblivious to the Sportlines having problems...I never heard about them. Oh well, whatever.
09, what are you doing with your Pedders then? I'm not saying I'm interested in buying them, just curious. I'd be much more interested in your car than the springs...haha.
I did 2 years on the Sportlines and over 8 months of it was delivering pizza as a side job in Blaine/Coon Rapids with shitty roads...yet they never gave me problems. I wound up selling them to Dave...who I haven't seen on here in forever...he had a red LS....can't think of his name on here. Not sure if he ever had any problems with them. I wonder if it helped having the shitty FE1 struts/shocks when I had the Sportlines on.

haha at the car comment. springs, well i have no idea what im going to do with them. was thinking of throwing them on craigslist and then put the money i get for them twords some yyz's.
im pretty happy with my car for now. so i think that will be the only thing id consider doing with ride quality IF i sell the pedders and pick up yyz's.
i have thing pretty quiet clunk up front,so i may start throwing parts at it to see wtf the clunk is.

Welcome to the joys of Cobalt suspension...I've had rattles, clunks, and all sorts of wonderful things happen with my LS...of course if you look in my sig, I'm no longer anywhere near stock suspension wise...at least not for an LS. And much of that is due to stock things wearing out...ball joints went so I upgraded to the FE5 LCA's...end links went...Moog replacements are much better...FE5 front sway because the FE1 bushings went bad...why just replace when you can make it better, right? But I wasted so much money on this car in the 6 years I've owned it.
As for your car...I'd absolutely love a TC sedan...wouldn't get a coupe strictly because I don't like the look of 2 doors...I think the sedan is more sophisticated looking in a sense and just has better lines from the side....plus I like the sedan taillights more.
