You can do it however you want...if you leave it, they'll be more of a matte look...if you do a clear, you can make them more glossy/shiny. Clear definitely isn't required though.

 

You'll get 2-3 mpg better no matter what in the warmer months. on 55 mph roads if you cruise in 4th gear at 60-65mph seems to net better mpg too. I always get 32+ when doing that, but not in the winter.

i have winter tires on. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd are pointless in boost, at least while it's wet and cold out. i did 4th gear pulls. i don't have my go pro and i need two hands on the wheel when i hit more than 5 pounds
