2 way radios are a must when you go cruising in a group...be sure to have a radio

This is the cruise route, It's 30 miles long and takes about 1hr.
Head up to Minneapolis...Be sure to nail it through the Lowry Tunnel Take Washington Ave exit to head east over to W. River parkway. Take the parkway south to the Stone Arch Bridge for some pics. Jump back on the parkway and follow that all the down till we get to Minnehaha park. Take the Ford bridge across the river (wave at the ford plant) and keep heading south now on Mississippi River Blvd till we come to 35E. Head across the river, take the first exit and only to jump onto another river road (Lilydale) and take that all the way to Harriet Island Park. From there we can decide of we'd like to cruise around a bit more or head our separate ways.

Wait, are you not going because of RE5? Resident Evil should not be played during the day, only in the dark. I have never played a Resident Evil game during the day the first time through.

Thank you.

Yeah, it should be pretty sweet seeing a bunch of Cobalt's parked in one place. Someone will need to shoot a pic.

Any idea where we are all going to go cruising?

Same here. I've never really done any type of cruising or gathering. My two previous cars were a 2001 Grand Prix GT and a 2003 Cavalier LS Sport. Neither car was going to make me feel the need to cruise.

I'll have a camera to take a few pics

As for cruising...I'm up for ideas? ...otherwise I'll come up with a route.

Well, like I said I haven't done this before, so of course I am up for anything. I say that we should go on a fairly long cruise though. Something that will have our Cobalt's on the road for a while.

Will do...keep in mind that I'll be dark out by the time we hit the street. Not that that should be a problem, I was just reminding everyone.

Everyone be sure to have a 2 way radio in your car for cruising...It'll makes it way easier to communicate with each other.

Any decent set purchased within the last 5yrs should work just find.

I can get channel 6. I don't know about code 17. These things are cheap as ****. I only bought them for scenario paintball games and those suck so I never used them.

Here's a few options for a cruise... Let me know which option you'd prefer, thanks

Keep in mind that the cruise wont even begin till after sunset...its not a bid deal but just a reminder.

Option 1 = Head up to Minneapolis...Be sure to down shift only to nail it through the Lowry Tunnel. Take 17th Ave exit to head east over to W. River parkway. Take the parkway down to the Stone Arch Bridge for some pics. From there we can decide of we'd like to cruise around a bit more or head off our separate ways. This route is 30 miles long and take about 1hr.

Option 2 = Head out of the metro area and hit up a few back road twisties. Then come back on 94 West and head over to take pics on a high spot over looking Down Town St.Paul...then cruise down the the river road (Shepard) to 35E, take that a cross the river only to just back on another river road (Lilydale) going the back towards Down Town St.Paul...Ending at Harriet Island Park. From there we can decide of we'd like to cruise around a bit more or head off our separate ways. This route is 70 miles long and takes about 2hrs.

Option 3 = Come up with a new route
