Next time you talk to Jordan make sure to remind him that he needs to call me BEFORE he tears apart his motor. I have a feeling that one day it is going to happen and I will not be there.

That will make me very sad.

And he should come to the meet on the 25th. I can pick him up if he likes. Hahn is going to be there so he can gush over turbos the whole time....

Screw it. I'll just text him.

Cool. Did I tell you I was thinking about pulling my pistions and rods and sending them off to be cryo'd over the winter?

I am about 90% sure that I am going to pick up a turbo. Im still not sure wether I will be pushing it through the eaton or go with a straight turbo setup.

Who had dibs on your old turbo setup? Are you keeping it for your ecocav?

my bro got it...and the cavi im getting is a 2.4 twin cam.... basically a revised 2.3 quad four motor.

but that car has a built head and cams on it already with a port job and the block im getting with it was reworked and drilled for the 2.3 quad oil pump system to remove the balance shafts and fix the oil pressure drop off issue with the 2.4 oil pumps. so with the added displacement im looking more along the lines of a gt35 or gt40 turbo for that car. the 30r would be nice but i want to finish what my original plans were with my old cavy and to build a 500hp or 11 sec street car.

heres a guy i know that lives in illinois

http://videos.streetfire.net/video/1...The_191403.htm

built eco cav and the video is of his 11.72 run and then his other pass was a 11.45 which then he got kicked out of GLD cause he doesnt have the required equipment (roll bar) to be racing that fast

for those ive told about the big brakes that need a pic to relise the difference in size I found some old pics of my setup which is on the car that im currently getting

STOCK

NWF brake swap

Well I got my results back from that ported manifold project I was working on. Went to the dyno last week and put down 256hp 238tq. Installed the ported manifold and went back to the dyno on Tuessay. Lost 1hp and 2tq. My IAT2 temps dropped 30 degrees so the ported IM is more efficient but as a direct bolt on it does not add power.

Josh from OTT thinks my GMPP manifold is holding me back a little. So I COULD get a new header and gain another 10hp and then finish my tuning for meth and get another 15-20hp but I still will not break 300whp. Maybe if I dropped to a 2.7" pulley but.... ah f' it.

SO instead of spending $300-$400 on a new header for my setup I rather spend the same amount of money on a header with turbo flange on it.

I really like the Hahn turbo kit. The only thing I am not high on is the internal wastegate on the 20g. I have read that it is easier working with an external wastegate. So that would make me lean toward a vulcan manifold with a flange for an external wg.

decisions decisions..

i like the hahn kit as well but, im not real big on putting dsm parts on my cars, it be a different story if we were driving hondas, lol, he does alot of work/turbo kits with t25, 16g, big 16g, or 20g, these turbos all came on certain yr/model eclipse's t25 auto gst, 16g on 1st gens, and big 16g on 2nd gens, and certain gsx's were limitedly made with a 20g least im pretty sure, but i agree with you on that i wouldnt want it for the same reason as you.

My other problem is that I don't know **** about turbos. So going with a 20g would be an easy decision.

If I looked at other turbos like Garrett stuff I have no idea where to start! lol

Oh well. I still have time to look around..

ahh thanks tom tom... love it im getting excited as i get closer to getting the cobalt back to stock. ive almost pondered taking the cobalt to andrews and taking the cav to the house and make progress working on that next.

the rotors werent backwards either.... thats what the stickers indicated as far as what wheel they go on

Here are some pics from a cruise that Alex and I went on last weekend with mostly Mopar muscle cars. I intimidated the guy who owned the blue corenet with a 440 and he didn't want to take a shot. Anyways here are the pics.

i picked up some wheel, to either use as DD wheels or throw DRs on them. got them for 400 with the falken tires on them, there is still enough tread to get me through winter, more than my stockers. they are mint Rota Slipstreams no rash at all on any, and flawleess paint not a chip anywhere.

and i was out trying to get some good night shots, but they kept coming out blurry, help me out here tyler. its it that im not using a tripod? or can i make some adjustments to my camera?

heres one, that would have been a decent pic.

neither your camera didn't focus properly (could be the bright headlights then darkness) or you were shaking and didn't know

my guess

Tripods are a must at night. Did you buy the Rota's off craigslist? Personally I think that the wheels are a little too small but they might look better with a beefier tire.

no i know a girl that had these for sale. i may just use them for drag wheels and get the ones i originaly wanted for DD wheels. But Yeah they do need a bigger tire, and they came off her CRX so thats why they had low pro tires.
