Umm Yeahhh.

Did you happen to catch the Vendor war between ZZP and OTTP the other day?

Has anyone realized just how far away April 5th is? Its a really looooong time and that really sucks. FYI, that is when I can take my baby out of storage. This is the first year of my life that I don't want it to be winter.......

My car comes out of storage if there is no snow. She isn't supposed to be driven right now cause she is under storage insurance.

I found it very interesting.

Either ZZP is going to be great or they are going fail miserably.

Personally. I am pulling for them.

yeah, i looked at that but im not evening bothering posting in there, i dont feel like getting to a heated arguement tonight lol, beside i would call bs on on both of them til i see print out numbers and graphs proving there info and number and backing there stuff, anyone can post a number for example,i could say hey i dynoed 800hp today with my cobalt, people are going to say, yeah bs till i have dyno sheet with graphs, ext.... beside there arguement was funny to watch thou i had a few beers some popcorn sat back dimed the light and watched the showcase, beside that i bought my walbro fuel pump casue anything after 300hp and your pushing our stock fuel pump to the limits and are at the likely hood of fryn it out, the walbro 255 should be perfect for my set up cause im going to be sitting in the 320-340 with out spray close to the 400or+ with spray. and i have no ideal were i'll be sitting for number when i slap on a TVS supercharger, so im just doing stuff right the first time and planning a little ahead for later down the road.

well theres a loud hissing from the engine bay. but other than that it runs fine. rev up sounds fine. idles around 1k. sounds like a wrx at idle though

chris thinks the head may have lifted up during boost and isnt seating now and that maybe where the hissing is coming from. when i started it up i got no blue smoke. i didnt smell any coolant.

yeah, i doubt that, i bet you blew a hole in your CAI, look for cracks. if you lifted the head, if even possible with your set up, chances are it wouldnt run, i bet you just have an air leak.

yes it would make it run like crap but everything your discribinging sounds like the problems that me and jordan had and if it is, it not going to be pretty,i had the hissing noise and the rough idle in the car for the first 1,500 or so then i went away, if the sti mod soulds like it is getting worse you most likely blew a piston. as sad as this may seem your going to get a good compression reading i did when i took mine to the dealar they said there was no problem, then two week later boom!!!! what every maybe the prolem i strongly say dont drive it anymore till you have what ever it maybe fixed.

I am going to say head gasket. The guy with the flat black ss/sc had this problem and it was his head gasket.

i think it is possible that the head could have lifted. For what ever reason it happened a lot on my d16 honda that i through a hmt kit on. I went through 2 head gaskets til i bought some arp head studs and a decent head gasket. whatever the problem may be it won't be pretty.

Jimbo told me that he thought all 4 plugs were white when he pulled them last night which would indicate burning of anti-freeze correct?

he also did a compression test on just cylinder 1 before he had to work and he said it was around 90 but didn't hold any pressure like they normally should. (you know how you have to relieve the pressure after the test) which brings me to think it maybe be a head gasket.

Idk if i'm right but thats just my guess as i've had it happen on my honda plenty of times. that motor wasn't built for boost, it may be a long shot but its possible that head could have lifted ever so slightly and stretched the head studs and is not seating properly now.

correct me if i'm wrong please (i try my best at understanding things, i do know i may not always be correct)

white plug tips mean it ran lean or to much timing.... a good burn on the plug would be a golden brown color. and black would be to rich

best bet is to compression test all the cylinders and see what you have... 90 is low meaning there is something wrong but it could be anything. if its not smoking it is possible that the pistons are fine. if the head gasket popped it would smoke bad burning coolant and oil along with coolant mixing in the oil.

do a compression test and a leak down test. jimbo could of gotten lucky and burnt a valve if hes not burning anything... but then again it sounding like a wrx isnt a good sign...

jim if you need help with anything leme know... you have my cell number if you need assistance with rebuilding of the motor

he said his wideband stayed right around 11.3-11.8 when he was getting on it, could it have leaned out somewhere else other than WOT??

well if they start looking at it closely you have the hole in the trunk from the pressure release for the nitrous, you've got all the wires he cut and extended, his trans mounts, exhaust manifold from the lsj, springs, exhaust, not to mention the tune, he has no way of flashing back. he has the lsj injectors in the car. it would take a ton of work not to mention its still under a *cough*lease*cough*
