Hey guys I just figured since this is the economy forum I'm going to ask about tuning.. and gtfo out of my thread all of you. I don't know how METH 100% found it in his heart to actually answer the questions lol. But the whole thread was quite entertaining. But why would a person lie about having it tuned and posting a fake graph? He really must be like 10

 

Well, it looks like I'll be joining the club... Went and test drove an 09, liked it, and the paperwork is in process and it looks like I'll be picking it up either Thursday or Saturday.

It's stock, LSD, Pioneer sound system, Bluetooth, Sunroof... I'm looking forward to this being my DD. I drive from Lake Geneva to 2 blocks from Miller Park every day.

 

Sweet ride. I was actually looking for a blue one back in the day got a super deal on my yellow one so I couldn't pass it up.

Side note, I just noticed that review mirror has reading lights on it. Mine doesn't and I've always wondered why because I've seen pictures of other cars on here with them. It must be a sunroof thing because mine doesn't have one.

For anyone interested, I'm heading to GLD for Wacky Wednesday to do a couple runs weather permitting. It'll be my first time in the Cobalt. You should come if you can and make fun of me as I run mid 14s. Haha!

So yeah, a little story about my trip last night to the dealer... So I get there and they telling me there's been a bit of buzz since they lowered the price... yada yada yada. The salesman tells me one guy was going to come down from Cedar Rapids to trade in his modified Civic earlier today... But he didn't like the numbers so he was going to think it over and get back to them tomorrow (today). The salesman prints off a couple pictures of this modified civic and shows them to me...


Good thing I stopped in last night and snagged it up. Who knows what he would have done to the Cobalt... I think he ate lead paint chips as a child.

I wish I lived a few blocks from work...

They already said with my credit score they'll be able to get me approved, just waiting for interest rate. The dealer closed at 7 and I was there with my brother until almost 8 filling out paperwork. Due to rain and traffic we weren't able to get there until about 6:20. It's an hour and a half or so to get there from my house. There's one dimple in the hood they have to fix and they said it'll be ready by Thursday.

My loan app was approved and I have my payment info. So I told them when I'd be in tomorrow to finalize everything and they said they'd have it waiting.

 

I'll rent out the room real cheap!!! Plus I have a dog and fenced yard! lol Great news on the car!! To bad you get to pick it up on one of the crappiest days this week.

 

Any day that I get to rid myself of my POS VW is a good day in my book...

Real cheap huh? I may may take you up on that room if/ when I start training at Roufusport... It'll be long days driving an hour and 10 minutes to work, work, then hit the gym for a couple hours, then drive an hour and 10 minutes home.

So who else is going on Saturday to Devil's Lake? If there's a few people going I will make the effort to go otherwise I don't want to go if there's only going to be 2 cobalts there

I got my Cobalt. So far I'm really happy. It's got some zip, exhaust has a nice sound, Lovin' the Pioneer stereo, handles nicely, quiet with the windows up and sunroof closed... I already ordered an armrest though. lol.

This month we will be meeting up in the Wisconsin Dells/Baraboo area and heading over to Devils Lake for some cruising and photo fun! The meet will be held on October 15th, 2011, meeting up between 11AM and NOON (sound good to everyone? It appears the date has been agreed upon, but I just copy and pasted the time from last years meet).


Our Best bet would be to meet up at the Baraboo Menards, like last year (click the link, and then "Get Directions" on the upper left of the page that opens). It's very close to where we will be cruising over to, and it's easy to get in and out of.

I'm sure we will do the same thing as last year, such as the cruise and such, Mark knows the route and such for spots that he showed me years ago, seeing I have no idea if Bam06 will be there to lead. So if we DO go on the cruise:

"When we go for the cruise, I think we'll first go down to the main park area, and then head out and drive down the back way down the twisty road and around the lake, stopping for pics when we feel we find a good spot. Once we go around the lake, we can go back in the camping areas and drive on one of the roads that goes around to the campgrounds and stop for some really scenic pictures. Then if it's not too late, we could head down to the Merrimac Ferry and take it across and then back and either go our separate ways from there, or cruise to Portage or back to Baraboo, or to the Dells and get food somewhere.
