Buuuut if you get another car the SS can be your summer DD and the other car can be the winter DD.

Or drive one of those Talons in the winter. They're AWD so they should do just fine.

I'm kidding of course. It looks like you have quite the collection of cars. I've always heard that Blizzaks are where its at for snow tires.

I had a 92 Talon for a winter beater one year with a blown headgasket. The compression was 60-60-90-120 and it should have been 150 across. That car couldn't be stopped though. I went into the ditch a couple times with some deep snow and it crawled right out. But it had no title and was parted out. The 97 is in pieces. The 92 has the transmission sitting next to it and a few other things I need to get back together. We'll see if I can get the 92 back together before winter. Maybe I'll drive that. But my plan right now is to sell it when it's done.
The 95 I just finished putting together. My brother had the car and instead of listening to me on reading up about it, installing a wideband, taking care of it... he decided that World Of Warcraft 6 hours a night was more important. So, he messed it up and I helped him out by paying off the loan and taking the car cuz he couldn't afford the payments and it was just sitting there. I put in a radio and wired it all up, replaced various interior and trunk pieces to clean it up, replaced the cylinder head, timing belt, battery, brakes, ECU swap, wideband install... and a friend is going to help me get a tune on it next weekend. The car was built by a friend of mine and previously made 300awhp on just an SAFC on the rollers. I swapped in a different ECU so I can play with timing maps, fuel maps so I'm hoping to get a little more HP out of it. It'll also have antilag, NLTS, check engine light come on when "X" amounts of knock is present... it's getting sold when it's all done.
The 99 GSX has been my daily for about 2 years except when it snowed and the few days after it snowed. On those days I'd drive the VW and hope someone hit me and totalled it. I bought my 99 GSX with 178K on the clock and I'm the third owner. The second owner had it since 2000 with 30K on it and he kept a folder of ALL records. And I mean ALL of them. I bought it because I was having so many problems with the 2006 VW GLI I just traded in to get the SS. But the 95-99 Eclipses and Talons are known for having their shock towers rust out when beaten with harsh winter weather. My 99 has the radiator support rusted through already (I have another one to weld in) but the shock towers are solid, the body is straight and I have plans for it. It still runs great but it needs a break. If and when the engine finally dies, I have a fresh engine in plastic bags that needs to be assembled, fresh cylinder head, fuel pump, injectors, intake manifold, downpipe, all the body parts to convert it to look like a 97-98 Talon, paint job...

OK, I'm done rambling. If you want to see pics of any of these cars, go here...

Yeah, well I have the cars setup in albums so just look at those then. I weighed about 225 this time last year after 2 back surgeries. Now I'm 165 so I'm a little happy with how I've come back. Now I want to start training for MMA at Roufusport.

It's turbo swapped with a 35r, intake mani, front mount, injectors, tuned, etc. I'm hoping to put a bit more into it before next summer. It put down just under 340 when I dynod it earlier this year, but it's definitely still a work in progress.

And thanks :] definitely my pride and joy

The body Guy says I should have my cobalt back by the weeks end. Once I get it back I'd love to set up a meet before winter. Not this weekend tho. Its me and the old lady's one year anniversary!

Lets setup a meet for sure. Maybe the weekend of Nov. 5th? I will be back in Hartford that weekend for a late Halloween party that night so I'd be open all day. If not, someother weekend possibly if school isn't too overwhelming.

Side note, I have video of my GMS1 spiking at 25 psi today.

Hey guys, I e-mailed Vince at Trifecta to see if my Tactrix 2.0 cable is usable on Cobalts... I bought the cable a while ago to flash and datalog my Eclipses. He said all I'd have to do is register the cable and I'm good to go. So, is anyone on here thinking of getting a Trifecta tune? I just want to know if it'd be worth it to spend the 70 to register the cable so I can help other locals get a tune on their car.
