If you have a LSJ with blower make sure you have some cooling mods or else you can say good bye to your motor.

Yes bring a helmet and WEAR PANTS!!! Shorts are not allowed.
For mods I have:
-ZZP S3 FMIC
-Dual Pass
-Option B
-New IC Pump hooked up the right way
-LSJ Phenolic Intake Spacer
-Step 2 colder plugs
-Eaton boost controller

For brakes...well we will see what's left in my budget after rims and tires

Trust me you need to spend a little money on your brakes or you will endanger yourself and everyone on the track with you. I have lost my brakes on the track before and it is super scary. This is very serious.

I am easily considered a newb when it comes to autox but its something id be interested in trying a couple times this year for the first time.

what kind of class would I even be put into considering I'm a fully bolted/tuned 2.2?

Matt, just google Milwaukee SCCA. Most of their events happen at Miller Park. Or if you want something closer to home for you, Fox Valley SCC (google fvscc) they do some at Shawano (spelling?). Since I live in Oshkosh now I want to hit atleast one up at Shawano and one down at Miller Park. Idk what your mods are exactly, I don't remember, but there are links from the Milwaukee SCCA page to figure out what class you are (there is a little yes/no spread sheet that helped me out a lot). Its fun. I'm just dissapointed that when I was on the formula SAE team at UW-P, we never had a car running long enough to get it to an autox event just for fun. I imagine it would performed really well since that's what it was designed to do. Once you PPE guys get that saturn done, you should race it

So I'm gonna be there Saturday. Here's my question, I have Brembos (obviously) but do I need to change brake fluid? I really don't want to go through the hassle if I don't have to (I live in an apartment so I have to drive home to use either my parents garage or a buddy's garage ). My buddy with his Integra is coming on Saturday as well, but he's done a NSX brake swap and he still swapped to DOT 4 or ATE Blue or something like that.

thanks for the quick run down, Ill look into it. (ive got a gut feeling ill be in a terrible class given my mods) oh well it will still be a fun time. me and two buddies actually plan on making it to shawno so you should let me know if you plan on making it down when the time comes.

n as far as PPE is concerned.. autox is going to happen with the saturn for sure once its done! it should be pretty damn quick considering stock its specs are (125hp and it weighs 2350lbs). now with the fresh rebuild on slightly higher compression, a totally gutted interior, and a/c delete id like to say we would be around the 135hp mark weighing somewhere around 2250ish so it should be fun. we are still deciding what to do to it this fall (regarding possible alternative fuels or even as complex as hybrid status)

so DOT 4 wont hurt anything if i change it and just run that from now on?? or do I have to go back to DOT 3 after the event??

How easy would it be to upgrade my brakes to the SS/TC 's or if its a PITA/Expensive and then what would be a good choice for rotors/pads if I dont go with the T/C's

If you have the original fluid in your car you will want to change it. I am not sure what fluid is used with the brembo's so you might want to look into it.

You can run DOT 4 and it wont hurt but you have to flush the old stuff out first. Its cheaper to buy new pads and rotors then to swap over to the brembo's. My advice for brakes is go to Napa and buy their premium rotors (made with US steal not China steel) and run a minimum of HP+ pads. There have been some people that have run HPS's but they took it easy on the brakes.

naw i'm in Milwaukee. I got a heat exchanger from a ford lightning that has been fabbed to work on the cobalt. I would just need to drill 4 holes into the bump cover for the brackets.

Can't say that it added that much yet as I'm just a stock stage 2 atm with a CAI. But my fuel trims were really messed up from the CAI and it needed to be fixed. So just the fixing of the fuel trims was absolutely great. I did notice a bit much pull as now I can chirp 3rd but I have my winter wheels and tires on so IDK till I get my summer wheels back on. He didn't get it completely right at first and Mike came all the way back and had him adjust it. I think its pretty much perfect right now with the exception of a just a little bit that I think can be squeezed but, I also know that we are in the winter blend for the gas so that will also make a slight difference. Do you have a LSJ or LNF?

Or me. I am close to Green Bay.

Trifecta tunes are pretty basic. No matter who you get one from, it will work great.
