Just nothing out that way, what sucks is the Marathon there doesn't have it anymore. I planned on stopping to fill up on the way down, just didn't want to be more late than I was already.

You're supposed to ask right then and there.

x2. You ask to see what it indicated and ask when the last time it was calibrated as he has you pulled over

I think its time for me to join your group, yeah I think my stuff still says washington right now, and I"m still living out here for another month or two, but I"m from the Antigo area and will be moving up their once I'm out of the army. I also don't have a cobalt yet, but once I drive home, I"m getting me a tc sedan, but I've been working on my buddies 06 sc tvs setup for the past year or so now, love these cars.

as far as getting that info, its not gonna help you, the law has changed, federal laws state that only the factory calibration is good enough no matter how long its been in service, bout the only way you can get out of it is if you can prove that you were being passed by other cars before he seen you, but yeah you said it, he seen the yellow and your hood, and figured you were doing more wrong so he pulled you over, so you could basically go in their and say he was being jelous cause you have such a sweet looking ride, lol no don't say that, but he was being discrimotory or whatever towards you.

By state law they do not have to show you the indicated speed. They don't have to lock in your speed, they just need a number to flash up and thats what they can write you up for. So in all honesty, they can just pull you over and throw a number out there, because when you go to court its their word against yours. Unless you were to have video of your speedometer as you passed the officer and had a calibration printout of your speedometer acuracy, haha that's probably the only way.

Laws have changed. They don't have to show you it. Your only way out of it is to either prove you weren't speeding. Or prove you had a faulty speedometer. Or get a good lawyer.

A good lawyer will be able to get the ticket dropped or reduced. But when all is said and done, you are going to have $1000-$1500 in lawyer fees.

Why not take responsibility for your actions and pay the ticket? You admitted to speeding.

even just actually showing up to court can get it reduced

True. Probably even get it busted down to a moving violation if your lucky and no points against you. All they really care about is getting your money.

the next meet is going to be the Racine Zoo car show on the 19th of August. We are going to meet up at like 8-8:30 in the am and cruise in together so we are all parked together at the show. Keep an eye on this thread for updates and to download the registration form.
