Yep yep, there's the picture. I think that because the car has such low miles, it's going to come down to whether the front frame forks are bent. The crash bar, cooling package (I think, she wasn't gushing fluids, but I'm betting it's all bent up), and intercooler are shot. It's not pushed in far enough that it's touching the motor though. We shall see, hopefully I'll find out by the end of this week.

I'll see if I can upload another picture or two. From the front doors back you can't even tell that the car was in an accident.

I forgot to ask did you have track insurance?
I have my stock intercooler and pipes if you need them.

Glad your ok.

lesson learned.

Not a racecar, which is good, had airbags.

Sorry man

Saw a red Cobalt (not sure if LSJ or LNF), a red IRL and a GTR driving west together on HWY 50 right by the Brat Stop yesterday around 730pm. Anyone on here? It was kinda funny looking. Was like a Great White shark and two Lampreys.

Bump, anyone? I might be able to get you a good deal on a set of slightly used PF01's with NT05's on them if that sweetens the deal

Haha, they aren't worth that much to me . It's to make the trade with the insurance so that I can get the PF01's back because they aren't giving me anything extra for them . I wish Strazdice wouldn't have sold his. He let them go with decent tires for $300.

I have a set of SS/SC wheels but they have my slicks on them. If you have tires to put on them I can work a deal with you.

Neither, believe it or not. I explained to them exactly what happened, and they said they would cover it.

I got your message and I will try to PM you back when I find out more. I can't get any pictures of them since they are on the car and in the insurance's posession. Get this, I have an extra $1000 listed on my coverage for them, but the adjuster is telling me that doesn't matter in a total loss situation, that only matters if they get stolen... so I need to call my actual agent and find out if that's really the case. If they aren't giving me anything extra for the wheels, they said I can swap the "stockers" back on for free and get my PF01s back.

Ok I'll let you know if that's the route I go.

Matt (Padlock) was telling me that the SS/SCs won't fit the TC without spacers. Anyone confirm or deny this? I thought they fit without spacers, just barely, but if they don't then this whole plan isn't going to work

He is correct. You can put tc wheels on an sc but not just put sc wheels on a tc. They won't clear the brembos spacers are needed

You could put them on and bolt them up but the car won't be able to move with them on. You coould do it just to get the other rims but that's your choice to make.

I do have a set of 17" Saab Viggen rims that are bent with tires. Not sure though if those will clear the brembo's either.

You only need a little 5mm. CED sells them, $36 and you're good to go. 5mm Wheel Spacer WS5

Dang. Ok, hmm. See the issue is the car is currently at their inspection site so the only way I can get my PF01s back is if I do a swap with them. They'll never believe the ss/sc wheels are stock if I need spacers to put them on.

The other issue is I had an extra $1000 coverage just for the wheels. The adjuster company is arguing that they only evaluate the vehicle as a whole, regardless of the extra coverage or value of the wheels, where my insurance keeps telling me it is supposed to be covered. According to my insurance, the $1000 is supposed to be added on top of the final vehicle evaluation. Basically this 3rd party adjuster firm, which is required by law in this area, is trying to screw me out of my extra coverage I was paying for. So if they aren't going to cover it, I'm going to get my wheels back, but if I can get my extra coverage applied, I'll just let them have the wheels.

Who would have thought the biggest hassle of all this is my additional coverage for the wheels. If you ever total a car with decent wheels, go to the junkyard and find 4 of the cheapest aluminum wheels that fit the car and put them on. They will value the car the same as long as the wheels are the same finish as stock, aluminum. Not even joking.
