Why don't we just plan for next week Monday or Tuesday for kiltie

 

Remember a few days ago when I was just talking about how my car was running funny? Well I'm driving around today and my check engine light turns on? I mean shouldn't the tune not let me run lean? Isn't that why I got a tune in the first place?(I got it because when I installed my CAI the check engine light came on for the SAME reason!!) Because I took it into autozone again and it was the p0171 code for running lean? I mean could all of my problems be tune realated? Where the **** is Mike when you need him? I need to talk to Vince this is bullshit!

 

This why I didnt like trifecta. to much stuff going threw a third party. Unless you tune your self and have your own cable. Now I'm not knocking mike one bit. But I don't know how trifecta works? If hes the actual tuner or if mike is just the uploader of tricecta/vince. I never really asked the details. But it sounds like you need your tune to be dailed In... Alot! Only way to know is to data log it and find out. I hear mixed review I don't know where it's true or not but I alway here sc should go with hptuners and trifecta is awesome for the tcs.

He is just the loader of the tune. He logs it and sends it in to Vince. Then Vince looks at it and makes the adjustments. I just think that Vince has a base safe as **** tune or something. Like its retarded timing our whatever(honestly I really don't know what I'm talking about lol)? But the funny thing is the minute my CEL came on my car started to drive really ******* nice. So maybe it DOES need to be run leaner like it is but set so that the CEL won't come on because of it. Because right when the CEL turned on it was really pulling nice. I'm just pissed that I paid like $200+ and I could have probably turned it better myself. I still need to get a wideband though. I got an email from Mike last night giving me Vince's email contact, but from talking with Vince(not directly but through Mike) I take it he is kind of a dick and probably isn't going to be wiling to help me.

I still need to get up money and whatnot but would should I go through to get tuned? Is there a good HP guy in this state that really knows LSJ's? Or would a straight dyno tune be the answer? Because I know someone can do better. Where did you get your car tuned OneCOLD?

 

^all that sums up why I went from having the trifecta tune on my L61 to now switching to HP once I got my LNF.. being able to know EXACTLY what is done to your car is important and trifecta doesnt allow that transparency in the slightest

 

I have my own hptuners cable, but if you want a tune I need you to have a wide and in the car . Pm me if you want more details

 

Damn I really need to get this figure out soon. So I started the car this morning to drive my girl to work and the CEL was still on. Oh well I took off and the car was driving like a ******* dream!!!!!!!!! A dream I say!!! Shifting great, taking off perfect. Seemed to have the power across the whole band. Then half way to her work the CEL turned itself off. It was driving fine for a few miles then the low end torque started to go away. When I noticed this it almost feels like the clutch peddle is loosening up. But no slip at all so can't be a clutch issue. This really kills just driving around daily. I can't turn my radio up to where I want because if the car is driving like poo I need to hear the car in order to at least drive it normal. It seems like the clutch engagement point changes as well. Really ******* my MPG's and most likely my clutch as well because when this happens it seems like the car is either fully on or off can't seem to ease into it the way I would like. ***** up my shifts too, to where it seems like I don't know how to drive stick and I've been driving stick my whole life. Man I'm heated.

My car is going to be parked at the Axis Racing (AKA Liz and Nick with the 240) tent since I'm helping them sell stickers all day. Tyler will have his Fiat there as well.

No this was years ago I bought it private party from someone that lives in Berlin. But this was years ago like I said.

yep. I'm on an internship there for the summer. Just in my last week now before back to school

 

Are you going to be around this weekend to help tune? I'm thinking Sunday is when I'm going to get the downpipe and IM spacer put on, and most likely the 3 bar sensors.

 

^I'm moving into Platteville Saturday and will continue to be there for some time. I do plan on making a Miller Park AutoX event in Sept though so maybe that could work out and kill a bunch of birds with one stone?
