Hey venum, your rims look nice in all gloss black now! I was kind of worried it wouldn't look that great but they turned out better than expected.

I asked around kyle I don't know anyone that wants one. Sorry. Oh and sorry I didn't return your phone call back the other day. You can barrow one of my m62's if you need to for a swap after you sell your tvs so you can still drive your car till you do your gt3076r setup.

So I noticed some oil leaking from my new motor a few days ago. After digging around I found a hairline crack in the oil filter cannister because some knob stamped the yards name on it. I took the car into show them it. Looks like I'm getting a new motor again.

At least they are taking care of you. Are they going to do the swap for you?

That sucks major Ass. I wouldn't complain thou, you got a steal on that ****. You usally get what you pay for. At least they have good business ethics and are replacing it for free of charge. They should compensate you something though for having to pull and install a motor again.

To be honest with you derek the motor was a good deal. The line "you get what you pay for" means nothing here. The motor itself runs very strong its dam near new. It's some monkey in the yards fault that there is a crack in the canister. When there is a 90 day no questions asked warranty you honor it. If you pay more then 1k for a used 2.2l ecotech motor your getting robbed. I found a bunch between 600 and 1100 dollars. They have been very reasonable to work with so i have nothing to complain about yet aside from the fact i have to burn another day off on a motor swap.

****, I thought for sure they told you, ve known for a week I do know Kyle works his ass off and is always busy.

And bang sorry I forgot for some reason I was thinking it was like a brand new spanking motor, **** happens thou least your getting a new one, and it does suck you got to kill another day with that, it's really getheo but jb weld would work but that doesn't solve the issue only sugar coats it, least you doing it the correct way. That part of the motor should of been a bolt on with two plug gallaies like the oil warmer block is on the motor. It's not uncommon that a motor from a yard is cracked there thou it's a common break point. Wish you best of luck with the fix.

Yeah its a lame situation but not the end of the world. While the motor is out I'm going to replace the stearing rack. I remember victory red ss ran into the same issue not to long ago.

Side note I looked at a trailblazer ss today.... nom! I'm going to pay off my cobalt in the next few months and possible find a trailblazer ss.

There is one on a 2.4ss in AL's salvage Junk yard in Franklin was still on it a few months back from what I remember the cat back was still good on it. It's in the far back right corner of the yard when walking in the gate. Other wise I'm going to think no one locally has a stock one any more. maybe dspeed123 does, for he just made and exhuast system on his car. Maybe he still has the stocker around.

Unfortunately you probably wouldn't want mine. I hacked it up for the hangers and stuff when i fabbed up my new exhaust. Plus there isn't a tip on the muffler anymore. Did you know that wisconsin state law actually states that your exhaust cannot hang below the bottom of the rim of your rear tires?! Never knew that until a fine police officer pulled me over in Green Bay and told me.

Green Bay cops are punks. They are the ones who got me for my loud exhaust. Was it woman?

No, it was a guy. I was just saying he was a fine police officer as in he performs his job to a T. He even was nice enough to call me out of my car and have me read it directly from the state law book that he looked it up in! Even doing 5 under everywhere in GB I knew the second I saw the squad behind me he was going to pull me over.

Haha! I'm not going to do anything. He didn't actually ticket me just said he would give me a ticket if he saw me in GB again and gave me a written warning. Guess I will just have to stay out of Ashwaubenon from now on. The exhaust will stay until either it gets ripped off or it falls off!

Derek, just giving you the heads up. You have 60 days to run your car or you loose your spot. Let me know when you are going.
