There will be no traffic down here either because it is a Sunday morning, so it should be smooth sailing for you guys.

The parkway is a ghost town on the weekends unless your headed towards the shore during the summer. Parkway should be fine that Sunday.

Tolls on the parkway range from .25 to .70.

And your $8 just went up to $10 I believe but don't blame Jersey for that. That bridge is under the control of NY.....why anyone should have to pay to get into SI is beyond me

i refuse to drive to ny. the worst. besides the rediculous traffic where it takes 10 minutes to go 2 blocks, all the friggin tolls, damn. i forget what tunnel it was, i want to say the battery, i went the wrong way and had to go through that tunnel like 4 times one day. cost me like $70 dollars in tolls just to get where i needed to go. no thanks. and good luck making a u turn somewhere

parkway is not the way to go if some of us are meeting in bloomingdale/butler area. it would be 287 all the way down to exit 9, then go across 18 to route 1. i know at least for me, and for some of the other guys in the area, the turnpike is crazy out of the way. i would have to go about 35 minutes in the wrong direction to get to the turnpike, which adds and extra hour to the trip. some of the guys that live by me too (68nova, etc) would probably be easier to just go down 287. or, if we still want to meet up with the other guys we'll just have to leave super early. i'm working till about 1 the night before, so i'm probably not going to be up for an extra early wakeup. but let's figure out what the hell we're doing
whoa i just got totally lost....we're taking the parkway NOT the turnpike...personally and i know this holds true for some of the ppl ive talked to...im not dealing with the trucks and the nasty road conditions on there...plus the parkway is more central to everyone.

but its obvi your choice as to the route you wanna take going down...this is why i made the list so that we know whos taking the parkway and whos not

I admit I used to be scared to drive in NYC.. then I got over it. Depending on where you need to go and all it can be more convenient then the PATH train.

In my town the bus for NYC runs literally around the corner from my house. $4.50 (or less if you buy a whole lot at student price) gets me to Port Authority in 15 minutes with no traffic.
