Any one in Delaware out there
I spent all morning researching car alarms lol. Anyone have experience installing them? I can pick up one cheap on the Z forum but I'd rather not pay to have it installed if its not a total pain DIY.

good luck how good are you at wiring ?, I've done hand fulls of alarms, i have wiring diagrams that tell you which wires are which specifically for alarms etc i can supply to you, and i can get you alarms for cheap but most newer cars i wont even touch (BMW,Lexus etc Chevy and fords are ok) because of all the pass-locks/security issues you'll run into. a 159.00 alarm will cost 200 install with parts lol, then you ask your self wat do i want to have working, windows go up n down by remote, remote start? trunk latch? lights flash on lock/unlock? do you want you factory horn to beep? etc etc list can go on. Alarms can do a lot of things if your installer knows what they are doing. there so many options that i think people don't even realize that alarms have(2way alarms). Ive never done a new z but its easier to let someone else have the headache if your gonna go crazy with it. im by no means an expert tho

im not trying to steer u away im just saying if your gonna try it your self and this is your first car it will prob take you a good weekend to do it right. it is easy when you have the wiring diagram that tells you which wires to go to its a big help, but just do your research , an alarm wont cut it, you'll prob need extra items to even install it like a bypass box which is used to store your key fob chip frequency, maybe a relay or resistor setup for the power locks to work, on a z you may need an extra key fob that stays in the car the whole time, like the fords which in reality makes your car easier to steal but there is a plus. u can get window sensors so if ur windows are down n some one sticks there hand in it will automatically set the alarm off there shock sensor and other cool stuff to like i said who knows a z could be easy as hell to install. id just have to look at my diagrams i have at home
going back to stock dp today...CA 2.5" High flow cat for sale...bought it from Matty not too long ago. I figure I would post it here before the classifieds and craigslist.
