Not broke so much as the fiance is putting the foot down. Prior to this car, I had just slapped 1300 dollars of rubber on the Mustang, and ate it when the Cobalt popped up. I've already dumped 1k Into this car now and about to spend another $700. I still have the damn temp tags, lol.

There with you on the 4.45's. But you hate dogs?! My Chesapeake/lab mix is 2 now, and she is like my child. Nothing will love you/be loyal to you like a well raised dog.

what parts did you get ORT?
Ummmmmm Forge BPV (be here thursday!), ZZP Upper charge pipe (still no shipping info ) and ZZP 2 gauge pillar (wont ship till december). I almost bought the whole ZZP intercooler kit when it went on sale but the lower charge pipe doesn't fit the autos. YAY!

All I have left to order "motor wise" is ZZP front mount. Then I just need springs and brakes and she'll be complete. Look perty and move semi fast.

i know that's right. Torque is almost 3 1/2 and even though he's a big baby/momma's boy, he's extremely loyal to us and i feel we did an excellent job raising him.

if you think a dog is too much work to take care of.... don't ever have a child.

ZZP had a ton of orders come in from the black friday event, it'll get processed this week. as for the gauge pillar..... don't be surprised if you don't get it until after the new year.

also, you don't need the lower charge pipe.

oh ok, mine was only 5yr and for 13k cuz i put 5 down.

ORT, if i were you, either do all the mounts or just do replacement oem ones. you will get more vibrations doing just one mount compared to all three. just my opinion though.

Yeahhhhhhh they keep saying they're having issues with the angles of the pods. Hopefully the last one they sent out fixed it. Keep my boost gauge and grab a perty interceptor

And I know I don't need the charge pipe....but I also don't really need a new intercooler either

the only mount the auto HHR SS needs is the top engine mount..... as far as i know, there are no transmission mounts available.

with the auto trans the axles are already properly aligned, so just the top engine mount will keep things solid. i'd try to avoid poly bushings, never had good experiences with them.

when i had the poly bushings, the vibrations were insane. i'm talking the dash was coming loose. unless you're building a racecar, which is what you're doing, then you don't want your car rattling apart while you're driving it. these cars are already such pieces of crap and built cheaply, so with time they'll naturally start coming apart, why speed that process up with poly bushing mounts when there's better options out there.

i have no clue what's available in the engine mount area, i've learned from the best that all that's needed with the Cobalts & HHRs (manuals) are rotated transmission mounts and that the stock engine mount is good.

but with the auto HHR SS, the only thing to do to eliminate wheel hop is an engine mount because like i said before, with the auto trans the axles are already properly aligned so trans mounts aren't necessary.

ive had all my mounts for a while and my dash is still holding together :P lol. but yea, idk about auto trans mounts. powell would probably have some. but nah, that engine mount is poop, when i went from the two trans mounts to all three being done, vibes went down significantly. and yea, the axles are already in line so there is not as much stress. got a point on that. but yea, him and i are doing two different things lol.

It read 25 pounds on the way home from work tonight. Seems a tad high, i think its the weather. Mainly want it for the looks I'm not gonna lie haha. ZZPs isn't priced too bad so I'm ok with it.

And all this talk about wheel hop....dude its just a wagon!

the only issue with the stock intercooler is that it has plastic endtanks..... that explode if too much hot boosted air passes thru them. been there, done that, got the t-shirt. as far as size of the core itself, it's perfect for the stock turbo & GMTU setup. personally i think a vendor *cough*zzp*cough* should offer a budget intercooler that is the stock core with aluminum endtanks, they could put a core charge on it so people will send in their stock intercoolers.

ORT your bpv is def messing up then, you shouldnt be hitting 25psi, even in the cold. your bpv is sticking close when it hits that im sure. thats exactly what mine was doing, 25 when it stuck close and 3 when it stuck open, plastic junk. good thing you ordered that forge one. and yes, wheel hop galore with these things, epic transmission killer, ask me how i know........lol. but matt, i agree, doubt that will ever happen though lol.
