Yeah I kept seeing all those accidents in the paper and everytime I pray its not someone I know. I think you should look at the positives though...with all these accidents in the paper hopefully it will teach these bikers to slow the heck down and motorists to be more aware of their surroundings (i.e. Bikers). Hopefully through your friends death another life will be saved
Loud pipes, flashy colors, and it seems like I almost get ran off the road every time I throw a leg over my bike.
It seems like you have to be able to ride like everyone is coming after you along with knowing your own limits.
Riding on the street, sucks.

Cagers never seem to pay attention though.

Yeah I've noticed how careless drivers are when it comes to bikers. That's why Paolo isn't getting a bike...its too dangerous these days.

Brandywine Park area is great...but twisties there will kill a newbie.
It is dangerous to ride anywhere though, and squids who wheelie through traffic, and/or don't wear gear...well I have no sympathy for them.

The thing is about Wilmington area...there isn't much area that is open, out in the middle of no where places to ride.

sorry to hear about your friend Matt...Jake lost a close childhood friend of his a couple months back because of a riding accident. 27 years old, way too young...I get nervous when Jake goes on rides without me, because I know his style of riding is way diff when hes solo.

thanks Cheryl just tell Jake to be safe and smart. i have 2 cousins that have sport bikes, one has been trying to sell his for a while now and the other had a bad accident a couple years ago. so he's learned his lesson and doesn't do any stupid riding anymore, when him and his wife decide to have children he is selling his bike. i have tons of friends that have them.... and i'm pretty sure that with my friend's death.... it'll change the way they drive. if not... they are morons and i will slap them in the face.

Matt - it was a reality check for Jake when his friend passed away...he laid his bike over once last year and walked away pretty lucky with just scrapes and bruises, but after that, he realized life is too short and you never know. Plus I hound on him if I find out he dicks around....haha

haha i dont know what i'm doing man. do to finances i won't be getting that S10 from my uncle for a DD. so i'm stuck with the SS/SC for now. i have bills/loans i need to pay off before i make a final decision on my car. so for now, until i get out of debt (which shouldn't take long) i'll be keeping the SS/SC.

i've considered just keeping my car, paying everything off. lightly mod it to my personal satisfaction, save up money to buy a nice small 4 door suv (for example Suzuki XL7) and then go crazy dumping as much money as possible on the pay off of the SS/SC to get it paid off next summer. then continue to save up money for a down payment on a house..... i'd like to move out next fall/winter.
