cool man. Just don't want to get too carried away on the cars. I am starting to get to the point where modding is pretty much a waste.

yea i hear you, i'm trying to figure out if i'll ever stop with this car...... right now i have a decent list of stuff i still want to do to it. but i think i can everything done by the end of summer and then i'll figure out if i want to continue with a turbo swap, tvs upgrade or stop modding it. i actually would love to stop right now, haha, sell everything i have and then start paying this thing off to where i could possible trade it in for a SS/TC or something else.

is the $900 for assembling the engine and then swapping it in and hooking everything up or.... just swapping engines in?

technically.... i'm not doing ram air, it is a functional hood but my intake goes into the other side of the engine bay and is a cold air. this hood is actually for a Pontiac G5... where they have the same intake location as your car, but i like it more than the one they made for the Cobalts... so i bought it. if i do go turbo though, it'll actually be a real ram air

well $250 for a shop in newark to assemble the engine and i called another shop to install but i gotta see if its $900 to swap or install cause i plan on taking out the old engine myself. but im thinkin i might as well have the shop thats assembling the engine go ahead and install it. but i dont have anyone to take my car up there while im gone...and i dont really trust any of my friends down here to do it. they all really see cobalts as a POS

yea, i will have the money next week. as far as the shop goes. when i leave in may if i can find a trustworthy person to do it, ill paypal money into their account while im gone to pay the shop with. when im gone money wont be that much of an issue. i called the shop about an estimate for swapping the engine and he said call him back at 4...he was sayin somethin about them doin a software update and having to install it. i know they got a dyno up there too so i could have them dyno it and maybe tune it

your best bet would be to remove all turbo parts and flash the car back to stock.... seriously. i wouldn't trust them with anything more than swapping the engines and plugging everything back up. when you get back, reinstall the turbo kit and trifecta tune. they shouldn't have to do any type of software updating to your car and just because they have a dyno.... doesn't mean they know a damn thing about tuning.

no, they arent doin any software updates to my car. theyre updating their software. but that was plan B. have them just install the engine and when i get back re-install a turbo kit and get up wit the dude you had PM me about the tuning and meeting and Tune Time Performance
