so i did have a spun bearing. my friend said the nut that holds the connecting rod to the crankshaft was in the oil pan and the rod bearing got loose and the bearing got melted to the crankshaft. i dont know how the **** that **** happend tho. but he got the rods on the new crank shaft and my old block is being used since its still good. but matt, i think ort forgot to include an ass load of stuff in the boxes

good to know things are coming together. you think he forgot some stuff? send him a PM, he might have forgot a couple boxes, if that's the case the next time i'm up that way i can meet up with him and grab them. i have no clue though

well you did get a great deal for all those parts. yea you'll definately want to upgrade the clutch & flywheel.... i'm not exactly sure what the power rating is for the SS/SC clutch but i would honestly think that would be a good/inexpensive route.

i know i got them for cheap so im not trippin. but im goin to sell off the block i got from him and my head to make some money back. and yea anything from the SS would be an upgrade but i want somethin that will be strong. hows your car comin along? i see you added some mounts

you should get the head you got from him ported & polished... that combined with the upgrade up top internals would be nasty!! then you can sell your stock head. my car is coming along good, yea i added these rotated tranny mounts, i have no wheel hop! i love them. i have a B&M short shifter on the way along with Lucas 42s w/ harness & stage 2 belt. the Lucas injectors will flow better than these GM 42s i have, which are going static up top. the stage 2 belt for a local guy who is looking to upgrade his pulley, he already has 42s & tune (GM stage 1) so he just needs a smaller pulley, belt & custom tune.

gangsta **** homie. i hope my injectors dont start failin up top. i gotta find a shop to port the head. i was thinkin of it but the shop that assembled the head said they dont do that kind of work. but i do go plans for this car. as soon as i start payin these bills and save up like $1500 for my house. ima buy parts. i need cam bolts. can they be any bolts? or do they have to be specificaly cam bolts?

damn. ay i need to know somethin about them pistons and rods. are the pistons designed to fit the LSJ rods but wit in the L61? or were they specifically for the LSJ?
