I would buy your hood ... if you have it about 3 months from now ... I'm trying to steer away from appearance modifications for now.

dont do it! haha trust me. right now i'm running the same GM 42lb injectors you are, and they are going static (lean) up top on my 2.9, a 3.0 pulley would gain you a 1-2 psi after a custom tune. unfortunatley we have different hubs or else i'd offer to sell you my 3.0 pulley i have in my tool box. you can go with a smaller pulley but i honestly think it could be a slight waste of $ esspecially with the GM tune. i think with a simple custom dyno tune you'll pick up more power, because the GM tune is pretty weird. i'm going to try to set up a dyno day at this shop in NJ, the price for a dyno tune will be $300. i'll let you know when it is.

buy a 2.8" pulley for the GM hub & 60lb injectors w/ harness from OTTP, then we can install them in the parking lot at the dyno shop, they pull the car up on the dyno and the guy tunes it
this way you wont waste time & money getting a OTTP tune, i hate to say it because they are friends of mine but i honestly think it would be the easiest thing to do.
your best bet would be this....

yes, the tuner uses hp tuners. what will happen is the tuner will plug his laptop into your car, run some logs, upload his base tune, make a dyno run, tweak the tune, make another run, maybe do some more tweaking and then a final run if needed.
i'm just kidding with you. i'm a computer aided draftsman for a stainless steel manufacturer of commercial kitchen equipment. in other words, i draw stuff on a computer and send it to customers for approval.

yup yup..... usually his price is like $400+ and you'll save money by installing the parts in the parking lot (been there, dont that)
