i was talkin to mrsilent13 who has a built 2.2 as well and he was tellin me he didnt do a relearn on his car for 6 months and his still ran
im not sayin eric is wrong but im just tryin to go thru all my possibilities. and vince i guess can do a relearn via tuning from wat ive been told
this is what he said

well my first guess would be that the maf is installed backwards...and the crank position sensor is not the problem...my car ran fine without a relearn for over 6 months..i finally did a relearn last week. no more check engine light. Is the car throwing any codes? scan it and find out. could narrow your possibilities of what it could be. in order to do a ckp variation relearn you need a TECH 2 and CANdi module to interface with the ECM. takes like 5 minutes to do. thats how long it took me to do it at School. if it needs a ckp relearn it will just run off the other sensors....dont worry about the ckp for now. another thing to look for is a major vac leak. just spray some TB cleaner and u will be able to see where its getting sucked in thru. good luck

like i said, im running thru my options. i dont want to play guessing games, when my friend gets a hold of a laptop and checks the codes the computer is throwing out i will know for sure. when i know for sure i will go about my next step. im so close but yet so far from bein done and being able to finally tune this bitch. its so damn irritating being at this point with the car and now bein there to actually physically fix it myself but depending on someone else to who can only tinker with it on the weekends

absolutely, was alittle quicker too till that learn down crap set in this morning!!!
I definately love the stound of the stock catback with a 3in catted dp. Its aggressive just enough at wide open throttle. and sounds absolutely stock during a daily drive, maybe alittle tiny bit of growl to it.
When I first started her up with the dp, you can tell a slight difference in the tone of the exhaust, it was a tad deeper, and fuller. Sounded like the exhaust was escaping at slightly fast velocity <-- truth.

lol the only fix is to tune it... I for a second thought it wouldnt set in, cause this "learn down" thing is based off the air intake tables and what not right? So putting a dp on shouoldnt have changed that... well it did allow the boost to actually go up a noticable bit. So that increases air flow a tad faster and in turn effects those tables. Now Im getting 14psi in most gears, but 15 still in second gear. but it still boosts up quicker tho! and allows you to reach your max power quicker.

no rush, lol its was at least worth getting the boost up slightly quicker and the nice exhaust tone.
I wanna get through most of my warranty before I tune.
Im still not even sure which tune im gonna go with. Maybe if I wait long enough something extraordinary may reveal itself you know?

Joe.... i'm glad you like it man. that learn down thing just sucks.... but it also helps save the turbo and engine.
Hasty.... you need to get back to the states & get your LS/TC up and running. and like i said.... put it up for sale for like $1k over payoff.
