the stock air box works perfectly fine w/ just a k&n drop-in. but i guess if you want it to look cool, an aftermarket intake is all good. i just know that there WAS issues with MAF tuning on the LNFs.

you are right i have a drop in and air box mod it works fine, but nick has found that the hahn cai gives u better mid top end range. there was issues with fuel trims i believe but that was just on untuned lnf's i believe, i will need a re tune for it but at the same time i have then new IC and idk if that changed anything also

yeah, he can tune MAF. got my hahn intake to +.8 LTFT which is as close to 0.0 as you're gonna get. my stock tune had +2 ltft from the factory when logged.

intake helps top end, for what it's worth on this k04

half true. there are gains from the CAI vs stock box, the bend isn't as sharp and the pinch in the intake inlet to the turbo is non-present on a cai application.

the difference is noticeable up top above 5k

they are a bitch only because it takes many logs. HPT basically tells you whether or not to add or remove fuel in certain areas. LOL. Unless you know the tuner or have it yourself (and due to that fact that it takes many logs before it learns the intake) that's what makes it a bitch to tune (patience and plenty of driving).
