yea royally sucked. we had 3 broken cobalts that night and managed to salvage 1 to make the trip home. so we ended up with 2 broken axles, and 2 broken tranny's. i hope to god gm covers it. on the bright side, i now know i have a 13 second car

Sorry about your bad luck guys . I knew thats what would happen once these cars got on a sticky track and hooked some good runs if you expected the track to stick, and some broken parts if you didn't . Thats racing and not Atco that track hooks .[ Would qualify as a great track not one that sucks ] . At least you found the weak links in your rides .

oh I agree atco is an awsome track... just not for cobalts.... I didn't even make it to the starting line... no clutch drop no full throttle... just pulled out gave it a little gas and boom... that was it.

after i get my car fixed...im still going to put back in what i took out. im just going to drive it differently now. no more dig racing and nice easy shifting during races. being that the track is very very sticky, i believe thats why i never had a problem on the street even with the new trans. mounts. id just get spin but no hop. the spin is why my car has never broke. at the track, the tires just gripped and BANG! and im NEVER racing it on the track again....even if i have axles, clutch, flywheel, every mount out there....NEVER again. these cars werent built for launching and i think we all need to accept that.

well just to bump this up for anyone planning to go to atco with stock axles... lol
anyway, gm voided our warranty's my car's vin got redflagged by gm, I had my car back together 2 weeks after this and now have another 40 passes on the car at E-town, 18 of em on slicks, with no issues and still rocking the stock clutch
