Autocross events in South Central PA.

Anybody know if anybody holds any autocross events in the Harrisburg, Mechanicsburg, West Shore area...hell even York area? Would like to participate in an event whenever I make it home in the July to August(September at the latest) timeframe. Only gonna make it home in time for one maybe two events in Rapid City. I need my fix...lol

I'd have to guess that there is an SCCA region out there. I know CPA runs, but that's a bit north... State College area...

Harrisburg has to have one. Check out SCCA's site www.scca-cpa.org ( central region # 59 )

or www.scca-susq.com ( Susquehana region # 92 )

those are the 2 regions that you should look into for your area.

Hope this helps

Yeah, State College is the closest one I know of personally. And you got the link wrong, Brian ;-) it's www.scca-cpr.org.

It's a GREAT region to run in, that's where I would consider my "home" region, even if it IS 3 hours away. There's a lot of people that commute every week just to run up there. I go from Pittsburgh, there's another guy and his kids who travel up from Greensburg, PA.

I don't know how close Susquehanna is to you, never run there. If you do decide to run in State College, let me know. I know mostly everyone up there, plus I'm usually running barring any other plans, so I can definitely hook you up with people to contact if you're interested.

I'll check out the scca region site.

Well, whe you go on SCCA's site.. the susq. region is HUGE. That's not to say that the events are only held @ susq period... but that's the region's name.

Well it looks like the Susquehanna Region would be my home region. One of their chapter clubs is Appalachian Sports Car Club and they serve the Harrisburg area. Now I've just gotta find out when and where they have events.

Yeh I realized after posting that that Susquehanna is the region's name. I'm looking at their events calender right now. State Championship autox at the Farm Show sounds fun.

I just found that site on their page. Thanks for all the help guys. Now I just have to wait and see when exactly I get back home from this deployment and when I'll be back in PA.

Yeah, I use the myautoevents site to pre-register for all our local events.

I don't know about region #92, but my region's site in the SOLO section has a complete schedule listed.

On there we can also keep current on the standings and results.

Have a great weekend, and be safe over there and come home soon. Regardless of the political crap, we all support you guys and thank you for doing what you do.

Thanks! I don't really pay attention to what any politician or the media says about whats going on over here anymore now that I know what actually goes on over in this neck of the woods.
