Also not to long ago, the cadillac dealer which is like a block away from me had rims solen off 5 escalades in the middle of the night. Still no increase in patrol by cops. i never see any around my neighborhood.
The good thing is, my next door neighbor drives a ford explorer with 24" black rims on his truck. Brand new, it was sitting in the street the night all the rims got stolen. Luckily they hit the street over.

Damn that sucks. Couple months back the block next to me had 8 cars that got there rims stolen in one night. One of the cars was behind a fence in someones backyard with wheel locks and an alarm. Still got em. it ****** sucks, the cops werecalled but all they did was say well, you closeto alot of parkways which makes easy get aways for the cars.

HAHA! Seriously though, I did architecture/engineering for the city of NY. Yeah I didn't like the office I worked for, but the pay was decent. The only thing I was happy about was that they never gave me health benefits, holiday, vacation, sick pay & I was working there for a year. The other architect/engineering firm I worked before that had great benefits & etc. & I was laid off by them as well. But Manhattan does have a lot of great jobs, just have to get yourself IN there. Even the LIRR & Long Island police are great jobs.
