im headed to cecil drags tonight just curious if any one else is? im not running just going to hang out and watch.

 

there are usually a few cobalts there. i wont be going cuz i'm going to North Carolina for the weekend, plus my car is down for the count.

I was there...saw a few cobalts...I didn't run though....didn't want to make us cobalt drivers look bad by running a slow time lol.

 

Dam,that sucks I was there on the pit side tward the end of the track against the woods. I was gona run and would of if I knew if you some of you guys were there. Even thoe i'm the fastest stock 2.4 out there it still would have been a little embarasing to run a low 15 or high 14 when there were 6 second cars there!! Did anyone see the mazda 3 run? I saw him go a 14.3. Is that normal? I didnt see an intercooler on the front. Oh well I leaving now to go wash her up and head to e-town for nopi.

 

^^^ nahhh i didn't se him run. Guessing it was the mazda 3 speed though? That Jeep SRT 8 was baddass though....I was cheering for him to the front tires off the ground lol. But still 11 second times are still awesome. Oh and were abouts are you in newark 08?

I went to nopi today. The racing sucked! All the imports were breaking left and right. Out of all the pro class cobalts only one broke. It was the naturaly asperated class. She broke her trans. The cobalts def. rule in nopi!!! I got a personal tour of all the pro class cobalts. They are unreal!! 1600hp out of one of our engines. With a few mods.(haha) The one guy talked with me for a long time. He has a stock chassis cobalt with a automatic out of a grand pre and about 800hp to the ground. I had no idea you could put that trans in our cars. Its nice to know we do have options with our weak transmissions. Not that I realy want an auto any time soon. Anyway shitty racing but hot chicks. It was worth going and gm paid me and my wifes way in, fed us and gave us the tour. Also got to sit in the new turbo cobalt ss. (VERY NICE)

 

08sport.....good to know you had a great time i've never had the please of going to Nopi, i was planning to go until my car went down for the count. just a little piece of info to you.....the Mazdaspeed3 has a top mount intercooler so you wouldn't see it unless he popped the hood, but they do make upgrade kits for them that mount them in the front.

 

I was there I ripped a huge hole in my flex pipe I was pissed. That Mazda was turbo'd

 

Haha yeahhh i saw you there man. Seemed like the red 5spd was not running very good times at all! He was running slower then my car does. Is he a buddy of yours? Also how about the ******* SRT-8?!?!?!? that was a monster.

The Red 2.2 was an Auto. The SRT-8 was kool. I really liked the 73 Pontiac Running 8's

 

Ohhh really?? haha seemed like a 5spd for some reason. But damn dude I run 16.2's as my best time and he was running worse then that. Thats crazy!!

And Matt, is it like black and yellow and old?? lol if so I think i've seen it.

 

no it's a brand new one, black with a white top. black rims, big off road tires & a lift kit. i'm actually not sure he still works there.

 

Ill have to look when I go home today lol. I'll let you know.
