i was wondering if anyone has replaced there windshields on there cobalts yet. mine is going to be do soon its got a lot of pit marks in it. also with a replacement window will it look like the factory one with the dot matrix in the middle near the mirror or is that a gm thing only?

Ill have to call a few places around here if not then ill just get it done at the dealer my insurance covers it

I had mine replaced last summer and you would never know the difference. I would absolutely recommend getting the OEM glass installed instead of a "house brand", but OEM tends to be quite a bit more. I only bring up price because you stated you are unsure about going through insurance. Even though it is a bit more, OEM always fits better, is stronger, seals better and looks better just so you know.

I'm not just pulling this out of my ass btw. My family used to own a glass shop, and part of my family is still in the glass business so I know the issues with "house brand".

Wow. I just got a call from Carter Chevy and they said they can't get the cobalt to run right! What did they do!? The service manager said they already had to replace the head gasket, and might do the injectors next... I'm pretty sure they bottomed out and hurt the heat exchanger... poor cobalt :'(

lol i have 70K on it! i travel with the car. that car has been all over the US as far out as Vegas and down to Mexico. I just don't drive it from dec to april lol

LMAO, I bet they messed with the computer or bottomed out and the h/e coolant drained, and the car runs too hot with pulled timing. Why are they calling you, didn't they already accept the car in trade? Tell them it's their problem.

I left them a detailed list of thing that were done, specifically the front end bottoming out and what needed to be aware of... this was my baby for so long! the used car salesman called me asking a few things, and i was about to go down there, but yes, the deal is done, it's been three weeks now.... someone did something stupid but i feel bad, this poor car is being neglected....

Saw a red supercharged cobalt in east hampton tonight. Pulled in behind me had LED strips in the headlights and black stock rims. Anyone on here?

haha.. she's doing just fine. I've been having a few small fuel rail issues up top at the moment that I would like to have addressed but of course our homeboy Vince is away this week so I've been sorta just dealing with it for the time being.
