Nah I can tell, I work the nacelle hardware for the new smaller commercial engines. It's pretty cool, get hands on time with stuff most guys look at on a computer screen all day.

He will however most likely be tuning my Bronco when I finally finish building the engine. The guy definitely knows his **** when it comes to sb Fords, especially windsor blocks.

Haha.. trust me I'm very familiar with Mike at J&M. He's a nice and knowledgable guy, but I personally wouldn't bring anything but a Ford to him for modding or tuning. I've personally seen first hand a tune he did on a cobalt a couple of years ago and it was a little rough to say the least ::::cough cough Chris' car cough cough:::: (sorry if you don't know Chris btw, but he and a few others know what I'm talking about.. )

How's that monster TR12 working for you ixxgh0stxxi? That thing is silly big! Lol
That's way too open ended of a question to ask without checking the car out for yourself or having someone that know what they're looking at. The thing about a sb chevy 350 is that he can easily be running a tricked out 383 stroker and you'll never know the difference unless he tells you.... or blows your doors in.
Just have him pop the hood and start it up. If you see just some basic bolt-ons and a presumably stock looking engine that idles relatively smooth then chances are there isn't much done to the engine. Even with a 383, the stock heads and intake from that erra don't flow for crap especially if you add more displacement.
Just ask more questions about the car and try to get some more info. Either way.... just run him anyways! Unless you're racing for money, who really gives a crap if you lose.

It's open ended because by your own accord you had no idea what was really done to it aside for maybe a couple of bolt-ons. **** I tell people that my car is basically stock with just a couple of bolt-ons. It's not a complete lie, but it's also making about 350whp. It's all part of the game that most street racers play by. You down play your car to sucker unsuspecting people into racing.... hense you're question being very open ended
Secondly, if it's a mid 80's monte it more than likely carbed anyways, and even if it wasnt , those tbi pcm's are so prehistoric that even with a chip it won't do a god damn thing for him unless he has some decent mods done to it..
